Yep, deffo take the car, although its a very small place not everyting is in walking distance.

Tiree is my favourite place in scotland. Even more than lewis and harris.

It just has a lovely feel to it. And none of this windsurfing malarky. Kitesurfing is where its at 😀 There are beaches for every wind direction.

And the wildlife can be stuning if u get lucky, saw a pod of dolphins, basking sharks and loads of seals last year.

Cheers for that, the reason im going the desktop route is he seems very serious and dedicated when it comes to graphic design but the wee bugger has butter fingers when it comes to laptops so im not making that mistake again.

Any recommendations re. companies to buy from or just have a search on google for the best deals.

    Thanks again 🙂

ive just sent my rear one back to Avid. they were new at beginning of june – they had to be bled 5 times. good as gold straight away after bleeding, but never lasted. All of a sudden ill go to apply my brake and the lever comes all the way to the bar with no resistance, and no fkg stopping power either. this happened to me on a descent at Lee Quarry and on the Cut Gate descent in the peaks!

Where do u find the address to speak to someone about sending them off, im having massive problems with a siezing rear caliper. Google didnt turn up much 🙂

Can you let me know how you get on with your forks…. As I will most probably take the spacer out to get he 140mm of travel!!!

Mine have now been done and apparently it was no problem to extend them to 140mm.

Paypal as goods, that way paypal take a cut for using their service and the buyer/seller gets the protection.

I like my montane velos. While it’s light and breathable its a little bit fragile if you crash a lot or ride through trees/bushes. It’s water resitant but wind proof so keeps the worst off and keeps you warm.

Mainly use mine for road rides (see fragile comment) and for racing.

Just bought one of these, wish i had seen this comment about it being fragile beforehand 🙁

Time to resurrect this thread, i forgot about the dates i had suggested as the last 2 weeks have been crazy.

Im going to do this route tomorrow on my tod but if there is any interest for other dates then it would be good to maybe sort something out.

If you look on the specialized website they have the specs for all the bikes they have brought out. Usually it tells you the max travel for specic frames on there.

Did you mean route No9 with the Southern start?
    More info here.

Thats the one, and funnily enough that looks like the exact same route map 😀

There is a fair bit of hike-a-bike at the top of the first fire road 265 791 to the top of 255 808, there are 2 x descents to get to the loch depending on group levels and an amazing descent from Capel Mounth into Glen Doll.

It is a pretty technical ride in parts but an absolute belter. so in my mind the descents defo make up for the hike – a – bikes. The route is also in The Wild Trails, by Phil McKane.

haha would love to see you riding without pedals and the seat 😀
