cheers mokl, had a ride today and i think i have them sorted, im running them equal pressure because every time i added more to the negative i lost a fair bit of travel. So im happy for now.

Lots to tweak on these forks but once i get them sorted im sure ill be made up.

Quite a firm feeling that i like compared to the float rl i had previously.

Im using a 2.35 Bontrager XR4 on the front and a Specialized The Captain Control 2Bliss on the rear. Seems to work for me in most conditions. Fits your budget as well 🙂

Alright buddy, had a couple of rides on mine now and been playing around with this dual air gubbins a lot trying to get them dialled in. At the moment I am running them about 30 psi lower than stated on the leg but they feel spot on.

Not too happy about losing 15 mm of travel if I pump more air into the negative chamber for a plusher initial stroke but that’s just the way it goes with these forks.

But as for feel im absolutely loving them. Very smooth and plush.

Getting a set of lyriks off a mate soon for a trip to Spain and I’m hoping I don’t love them too much as I might just keep them. Might just run the revelations for UK riding and the lyriks for European trips.

Na man not just you, had amazing weather on my outbound leg of a new route i was scouting then god almighty the heavens opened for the return leg.

Luckily i had just invested in a proper goretex jacket and shorts.

Sports and politics dont mix, but its bringing more publicity to the bahranian situation which can only be a good thing.

On a seperate note does anyone know a good link to get the race live. Dont do sky sports 🙂 Ta

Moki that i am, was going to put them on here after the weekens.

I had them extended to 140 from 130 last year when i sent them off to TF Tuned for a service.

    Do u want pics??

Moki, im upgrading 🙂 as we speak from 2010 Fox Float RL that came with my stumpy to revelations RLT. I know its not an exact comparison but i should have a good idea of the differences after next week when i have had the new forks out for a couple of rides.

So after a bit of reading up, as i have compression damping through negative and positive air only i assume if i want a plusher initial feel i need more air in the negative. If stiffer i need less??

    Correcto?

    mactheknife

Gotcha, so there are not as many settings as i first thought, i take it the slow compression damping is controlled between the positive and the negative air chambers instead of a dial. Thats making more sense to me 😀

Hopefully you will get this sorted Lawrence and take it as a bit of a lesson. I bought some forks off a lad on here this week and i paid £10 extra to pay with Paypal instead of a gift as requested. He had a lot of history on here but i felt the tenner was worth the protection. But as it turned out they turned up and were fully tracked on route.

Just me mind. Hope u get it sorted bud 😀

Nope, im as mince as they come. Sometimes i really piss myself off. I know its a mind game and i should just get with the program but there is a mental block when it comes to steep dropoffs. 🙁

Got a transformer and it is an ace bit of kit for general surfing the net, watching films and box sets ive downloaded.

I would not even dream of using it as a replacement for a laptop to do work on. I really dont think it was designed with this in mind, it can do excel etc ok but not well.
Portability is the main selling point in my mind for a tablet.

Would it be a problem if you went??

Armo, dont you think it is time to spend some cash and go and see a physio. You can guess, double guess and still not fix the problem.

I spent a year thinking i had a massive problem with a self-diagnosed torn ligament when in actual fact it was something completely different that a physio diagnosed in 5 minutes. And touch wood a year down the line no problems.

When will idiot cyclists learn that flashing bike lights hinder and impede a car drivers ability to judge his distance from you.

Ride on flashing lights ONLY, and you get what you deserve !.

Rubbish, if a car driving is going to make a maneouver it is completely his responsibility to make sure he does not endanger the cyclist that he knows is there as he has a flashing rear light. Also flashing rear lights draw your attention much faster that a static red light on the bike.

Oh and eyerideit i hope you are ok after the crash.

Nice idea matzzzzz. Need to look into this a bit further. My idea was to have mesh panels that are vey close together. I find it hard to describe but I know exactly what I need.

Found a few metal stockholders locally so I’ll go round and have a chatwhen I have my measurements sorted.

    Thanks again.

Nice one guys thanks, yea I need to measure the bike up and get a rough design sorted. That’s the easy part so far 🙂

I’m not too bothered if they can get into it with an angle grinder as where I live they would be heard straight away. But good shout on bolt cutters getting through the mesh.

Got some Louis Garneau shoes from evans, stiff sole, ace ratchet strap with spare in box.

The ventilation is very good. But only good for narrow feet. 😀

Renton, i feel your pain but if i pay a tradesman to do a job and he knocks the VAT price off the job then unfortunataly you have no real comebacks. Unless the guy is an aquantance and u can talk to him face to face i think its just one of those things you have to take on the chin.

If you paid full whack and have all the documentation then its game on with the plumber.

Good luck with afghan mate. Keep the heed dow.

No worries, pics will be up but im having trouble with brand new brakes and they are being sent back to Formula, so might be a couple of weeks.

Riding round here is only a last option really, i usually head down to stirling or the Glens. Mainly Aviemore though. I know its a trek but got good mates up there and its always worth it.

I started to watch the Danish second season of the killing but have missed a few episodes. Will have to catch up on them.

Has anybody watched Luther? Saw a couple of episodes and thought it was worth a watch. Might have to put that on my list if recommended.

I first started by going to a class but I found it pretty poor to be honest but that was down to the instructor. I then went to another and it was amazing, apart from the obvious exercises posture and form were taught along with their importance.

I then bought The Ultimate Kettlebell Workout by Randolph. It has different workout routines along with many pages of well explained and photographed explanations. I just workout in the house now with a 16 and 12 Kg bell.
