Yep, if u have a beach and a kite get kite surfing. I have done both and landboarded. Nothing compares to being on the water. A days lesson will get you started and second hand gear is surprisingly cheap off the 2 main forums. But if it’s definitely buggying you want check out kite crowd forum for advice and gear

Cheers MSP. ill get a couple of the ECB Red pads and see how they do. Seem the company have a good pedigree going by some reviews when it comes to pads for cars and motorbikes so fingers crossed they do the job well for the bike. Did you find the wear rate was quite fast as they have a softer compound??

Ah but he does not want to look at himself, he wants to shout his own opinion then flounce off thinking he has the moral high ground.

Sad act, and there seem to be plenty of them on here at the moment. 😯

SBrock, the uplift is perfect for you if you have DH bikes, not a long push at all but a bit overkill for the red. You will have a blast on the black.

£2 a bike i think. Enjoy, u have got the weather for it

Capel Mounth into Glen Doll. Fast to technical to silly, just not long enough and its’s a hell of a climb up to.

Its a cracker aint it, Did this on Sunday. Was a bit disapointed with the descent into Loch Muick from Corrie Chash.

So many water bars, but it gets way better the lower you get 🙂

Unless a kids life was in immediate danger (the video actually shows traffic was aware of him) I’d be careful about leading them to a place of safety unless my wife was with me, tbh.

I read this in utter disbelief. Sounds completely selfish and paranoid.

Mike i think i was confusing myself. you have hit the nail on the head there. I should just divide by 2s on both sides, i did it by dividing both sides by s first then 2 so by the time i got to that step i was convinving myself it was overly complicated. I have done it a few times now and have it completely in the bag 😀

Crikey this is the easy stuff 😀

Cheers cougar, and thanks for all the help. I was actually making it more complicated than it had to be hence the bafflement 😀

One reason i use my LBS for certain items like my new brake set and reverb seat post is the ease i can get any problems sorted. My riding time can be quite limited at times and if i have a problem with items like this i want it sorted ASAP.

Yes i pay a lot more than if i bought online but im paying for the expertise i do not have to fix any problems. I learned this the hard way a while back.

Small stuff like gloves, pads etc – online every time.

But it absolutely takes the piss trying gear on in the shop then buying online, not sure what the answer is though. Muppets in every walk of life.

Crofts, my frame is a Medium and the Reverb is a 385mm and it fits all the way into the seat tube.

    Hope that helps 😀

Oh by the way what type of coil shock are u running, i have in planning an extendid trip to the Alps next year and want one for the trip. Not looked into it yet but your pic got me thinking 😀

crofts, its a reverb. Really not sure of the length inside the frame but i tried the fit in the bikeshop before i bought it. I have pretty much the full length inserted which off the top of my head is more that 8″. But i may be very wrong. It fits and works a treat 😀

Is it for cross bikes or MTB.

My favourite is Loch Muick starting and finishing at Glen Doll car park. Exactly 1 hour from Dundee 🙂 It takes 3 to 4 hours roughly.

Do it clockwise. It has 2 awesome descents finishing off with a descent from Capel Mounth which is one of my all time favourites.

If u want the route send me your email and ill email it to you.

Had the 2.2 on the front for the first time last night, initially i did not agree with all the reviews saying they come up very large, but they are about right i would say, the 2.35 would be the same as the minion 2.5 i use for going to the Alps.

Ok from one ride only on a mixture of damp/dry ground, lots of both long technical climbs and steepy techy downs and some tarmac to get me to the area i was riding in.

These were a bit of a revelation in how much difference a good tyre can make to your riding, it rolled extremely quickly, not once did i feel any drag or resistance.

Grip wise i could not believe how much i had on the front, it was so confidence inspiring. Point it downhill and on everything it just felt like it wanted to hold on and not let go. No sideways slips, Just pure grippyness 🙂

Cornering, dunno im not really good enough to notice the difference but if the grip is anything to go by then my assumption is they get a 10 / 10.

So far im a very happy chappy. They were everything i was hoping for and more 😀

This along with a Specialized Captain 2.0 on the back and i sem to have found exactly what i was looking for. Cannot recommend this tyre enough……..SO FAR 🙂

😀 the front wheel justlooks odd in those pics.

Na the sidlaws were ace last night. Had a good blast.

No idea about different frame colours to be honest, bought this from a shop in Devon who were clearing out for the 2012 range.

Do u want a blast on it to see if it suits you or not. Im around for next 10 days or so.

royal pump, I do a lot of rowing and biking. Strangely enough ive never had a twinge in my back.

BUT i do know how to row properly, bad technique may lead to bad back. Same as most things really.

Just had my DW 5 spot built up for about a month and to be honest it was not an instant love affair, the first ride i found the cockpit pretty small but i had been riding a spesh FRS for 2 years previously and i think any other bike takes a bit of getting used to.

Now a month on i absolutely love it, yep its not the lightest bike, i have revelations on which seem to suit it perfectly at 150mm.

The DW link rear suspension really is made of some magic stuff, without ANY noticeable bob it tracks the ground flawlessly and feels planted at all times. Made my FSR feel like a bouncy castle in comparison. So even though it is slightly heavier it never feels that way on the trails,it rips uphill. I was so impressed.

Point it down and it comes alive. But im a bit of a mincer when going down so ill have to leave the review for later.

rickon, Loch Muick and Glen Doll area about an hour 20. Some amazing natural riding round there. Along with Ben Lawers etc about 45 mins away.

Pitmedden is a good wee forest track but only in the dry, its getting hammered in the wet at the moment.
