Yep, fantastic phone, ace camera. Micro SD card slot. Not laggy in the slightest even with multiple apps open. Love it. I got mine for about £160 from Amazon and I can’t see past it. I’m on a SIM only package with 3 so if I break it ill get another.

I have just switched from Zees to Hope Tech 3 with E4 calipers. Initially i thought “where the hell is the power” then shortly thereafter “yep there it is”. They took a bit of getting used to after running Shimano for so long but they are fantastic.

Pricey i know but for me a very worthwhile investment.

I think from reading online that the SD card will work on the new device ok. They are genuine maps bought with my first 800 so nothing dodgy in that aspect. I was hoping i could just insert it into the new 810 i have bought and bosh……. but i was sure i had read somewhere about them not being transferrable.

Not to turn this into a shimano bashing thread but i have just ordered a set of tech 3 E4,s to replace my very very inconsistant zee brakes. Pain in the hoop. Hope the hopes are as good as everyone says.

Im with leegee on this. Rahox are amazing pads. Work out a little bit dearer than your superstar and uberbike pads but they work very well and last.

i don’t understand why you wouldn’t have twin side loaders. anyone i know who has them say they wouldn’t buy another van without them. they are genuinely very useful indeed.

When i was getting a van i wanted to build it around having a bed and storage along one side. Which counted out having a second side loading door. I don’t have kids so i had no real need for another row of rear seats.

Doug, are you running an XX1 cassette with XT 11 speed mech and shifter.

I pringled my mech yesterday and was just about to press that big BUY button on that exact combo.

PePPeR, yep they changed them out for me, thanks for the heads up though. The sill on the front grill where the water was getting was actually an easy fix with silicone so i doubt there will be any future problems.

    Vitos rust like crazy

No they dont, after 2007 the underside was coated (galvanised). FACT.

When looking at vans be very clear what you want to use it for. Also have a budget and stick to it.

The one thing i didn’t like about Vito’s were the sliding side doors on each side. Lovely vans apart from that.

A few people i know have T5’s. Pretty new and most are having sensor issues along with ECU niggles. None of the fixes are under £1500. Just something to be aware of.

I settled on a Vivaro and after having an epic getting the injectors changes it had been a dream van. I really love it. Decent enough MPG and loads of room in the back. Bit of a basic interior in the cab but that didn’t bother me.

Somewhere in my history i have a build thread. Have a gander.

Slight niggle, once i formatted the SD card in the phone my mac does not recognise it with Android File Transfer. I will have a play around tonight and see what i can get working. Its only to get all my music off my mac onto my phone.

Apart from that nothing to report. All works as well as it did previously. Moto 3g BTW

Yep, go and see a sports therapist or physio. Forget NHS. I had a problem with my knees and luckily i found an amazing physio who very quickly diagnosed very tight ITB and surrounding muscles on my left leg pulling the kneecap slightly out of alignment rusulting in a lot of pain.

Easy peasy fix really. Foam roll and stretches. Some weight training to balance out any muscular weaknesses and voila. Fixed.

kwack, i bought a Turner RFX to replace it recently and in all honesty there is not a big difference in how they handle. So kinda wishing i hadn;t bothered 🙂

Its a cracking wee bike, very playful in 26″ guise. Climbs very very well but it comes alive when you point it downhill.

I am 5 foot 8 and fits me perfectly. I don’t think they size up small as mentioned earlier.

Like i said with a bit of hindsight i would not have changed bikes but you live and learn.

As to the weight i think i had it built up at 30lbs. That was with Flow Ex wheels and 1 x 11 drivetrain. Zee brakes and carbon bar so not too heavy for a burly build.

I can take more pictures for you tomorrow if you want. Just general close up pics ??

Yep mine has started doing that with a carbon bar. Bloody annoying. Will be putting some carbon paste on today to see how that goes. Might rough it up slightly with a bit of sandpaper first though just to give the lever something to bite to.

What size of feet are you Craig. I have a load of stuff going on the classifieds at the weekend and I have a pair of teva links. Size 8 in grey.

I tried switching a while back and didn’t get on with flats at all. All my fault with poor technique but i really didn’t like them at all. So switched back to SPD and was a happy bunny. Fast forward and i was having some issues with my left knee so i bought a pair of five ten shoes with saint pedals and bosh…. a whole world of difference. They stick together so well. I will defo switch back again to SPD for summer and racing but the difference a good set of shoes and pedals make can not be overemphasised.

Oh and the physio appointment i should have booked first would have saved me a whole load of cash, my knee issues were absolutely nothing to do with shoes or SPD’s 😯

I use a blackspire bruiser on my 11 speed set up. After smashing a chain in a race with a flying rock i thought i would invest. Great bit if kit. As for chain guides i have never dropped a chain in 2 years so i have never felt the need.

I had a Minion DHR2 on the front and rear for most of last year. 3c front and dual rear. This included holidays to Basque, riding in Scotland and all the variable weather conditions that can throw at you 🙂 and doing the Trans Provence. Not once did i ever feel it was the wrong tyre choice. It gripped well and predictably, rolled well and didn’t destroy itself at inopportune moments 🙂

For the winter i have been running a shorty which is absolutely amazing in mixed / wet conditions. As soon as it gets a bit dryer the DHR2 is going back on again.

Doctors don’t work any harder than say, lorry drivers, road layers, security guards, etc etc. All who do similar if not more hours. And get paid a pittance in comparison. But because they are not ‘saving lives’ then that ok.

So no, I have absolutely no sympathy for doctors whatsoever. And because my opinion is different to someone else’s then obviously I’m ‘trolling’…

You honestly cant see the difference in the work and its impact that say a Cardiologist does and a lorry driver? Seriously? How long does it take to get a medical degree, then on top of that how long does it take to become proficient and skilled in that field. Give over. You cannot compare the jobs you have quoted with those in the medical profession.

    He’s trolling just ignore him.

What other profession has such an immediate impact on peoples life for the better??
Ambulance Driver. Yep fair point, and it also amazes me the pay that ambulance drivers and paramedics are on for the work they do.

Quick edit, no point in debating this with you loddrick. What is it you dislike? the fact that people are paid a lot more money that you and are fighting to keep that along with other aspects of the profession. Or is it that chip on your shoulder talking?

loddrik, i believe doctors deserve every penny and more for the work they do. What other profession has such an immediate impact on peoples life for the better??

This complete dismantling of the NHS sickens me. But as a bystander what option do you have?

I really like my KS Lev, again i use a Southpaw as i am running 1x so everything fits under the bar nicely.

Action has been faultless after a years running. But saying that the only thing i didn’t like about my old reverb was the remote and the 3mm side to side play.

They are all pretty good to be honest.

Again as said earlier it really depends on what you liked on 26″ and what they will be used for.

My go to tyres were Minion DHR2 on 3c front and dual on the rear.

For this winter i have had on a shorty front ( amazing, amazing, amazing ) and Trail king rear.
Just put a slash in the sidewall of the trailking so the WTB trailboss i had sitting on the shelf will be going out back now.

As soon as the weather improves ill swap out the shorty for the Minion DHR2.

For working on tubeless tyres its ace, for general run of the mill track pump its a pain in the arse as the chamber has to equalise when you attach it to the tyre so you lose a fair bit of air initially. Just a niggle but it gets on my wick.

Pretty accurate gauge and well built so not all bad. 🙂

There is a big thread over on MTBR about them. Not fully read it to be honest. I was in the market for a new set of forks recently and it was between these and the MRP Stages. Eventually bought the stages and so far i am loving them.
