There was something in last weeks New Scientist (1 May 2010)
"Energy drinks give your muscles an instant boost.
If you spit out an energy drink after taking a sip, it could still boost your strength. This pre-digestive effect is immediate and seems due to a newly discovered neural pathway that links taste buds to muscles.
Nicholas Gant at the University of Auckland in New Zealand previously showed that mouth-rinsing and then spitting out a carbohydrate solution immediately improved performance at sprinting and cycling – even though it takes at least 10 minutes for carbohydrates to be digested and utilised by muscles.
……… Gant say's it's likely that taste receptors detect carbohydrates resulting in a signal to fatigued muscles "that help is on the way" so they continue working hard."

Its not suggesting that spitting food out does any good, just that food in your mouth could prevent your body panicing just moments before it all turns horrible.

Turnip tops are edible, and probably the best bit of a turnip.
    Neeps are not turnips.
Turnips are white with a touch of purple on them.
Swedes, neeps are yellow and go well with haggis.

    What bank are you with?

The banks have their own online share dealing services, that might be the easiest option.
The Royal Bank of Scotland did for a while (if they dont still) use T D Waterhouse as a stock broker.
You can go direct to TD Waterhouse yourself.

The Motleyfool website can (sometimes) have some good advice.
Buying shares is obviously all about buying the right companies, therefore avoid the companies that a not currently paying out a dividend (there might be exceptions ) since they will not be around long enough for you to make any money on them.
We have probably not even started to see the bottom of this recession.
Once we find out the truth about the UK economy plenty of well known companies will have collapsed

If you go back 30 years then people like David Wrath Sharman (Highpath)were using 650B tyres.

If it is your calf muscles that are cramping then it might be more to do with seat height on bike, or foot position on the pedals.
For example having your feet further forward on the pedals places less loading on the calf muscles, and is less fatiguing for the calf muscles.

Although this is about "hot foot" it is still relevant to cramp:
    http://www.ultracycling.com/equipment/setup.html
"…most RAAM riders eliminated this by positioning their cleats as far back as possible (some even drilling new holes in their shoes) so that the foot is farther forward on the pedal, and "the ball of the foot is not directly over the axle". Such a position, one rider noted, "relieves a lot of the pressure on the nerve that causes hot foot"."

Also trying different shoes can help.
A flatter soled shoe such as Northwave does feel different from the odd shaped Specialized or Shimano shape soles.
Being on a bike for a number of hours is a strain on the feet to be constrained to work in a limited range of movement.

This guy has some thoughts on the subject of pedalling, probaly more thought provoking than an effective cure but worth watching:

Speak to a Skoda dealer, they pride themselves on their customer service and aim to be the best.

Or ask BBA-Reman they might know. They will certainly know as much about the Octavia electrics as a Skoda Dealer.

But keys are fairly specialist stuff, an auto elec locksmith might be worth a try. Look in Yellowpages.

The oil issue is less of a problem than the landlord not wanting to spend money on routine maintenance of the boiler.

BS5410 Part 1 requires oil fired appliances to be serviced periodically in accordance with the manufactures instructions.

If the landlord fills the tank when you move in and you fill the tank when you move out. This involves less arguing, but does not always happen.

Some of the people originating from D&G:

John Paul Jones became the first US naval hero of the American Revolution, and in many eyes the father of the US Navy. Later in his career he briefly became an Admiral in the Imperial Russian Navy, before ending his life in France. Yet he was born – with the name of John Paul – in 1747, the son of a gardener on the Solway coast south of Dumfries.

    Kirkpatrick MacMillan born near Thornhill.
    Invented the bike.

    John Laurie born in Dumfries
    "We're doomed" Dad's Army

J M Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan by a garden in Dumfies.

William Patterson founder of the Bank of England, was born at Tynwald.

Robert the Bruce was born or died (or maybe did neither)in Lochmaben.

Worth bearing in mind that alcohol can cause stress cracking of titanium.
Stress corrosion cracking can occur in stainless steel exposed to chlorine, and brass exposed to ammonia.
Acetone is OK for cleaning titanium though.
