I just got a set of these:

    http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Fulcrum-Red-Zone-MTB-Wheel_32139.htm

1750 for the pair and built for Trail/AM might be overkill for you, the hubs are campagnolo and will go forever they are new so dont expect many reviews on them but so far a great wheelset

M&S then…. they are £200 more that current insurer to me thats allot of £ but for an individual policy its £350.Aalso it covers you away from home and covers your mob phone if you come off your bike and knacker it it covers you for that too! When I spoke to them I could not quite comprehend this… obviously have not seen me riding…

I have been looking at one of these:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Michelin-hi-power-rapid-tyre-inflator-12260-/170493029560?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Air_Tools_and_Compressors&hash=item27b22d2cb8

think its up to it? the info on another site says it can do a car tyre in 2 mins… is that quick ?

I went from juicy carbons to elixirs about 2 months ago – great set of brakes compared, more power, more reponsive, better modulation. They stil rub a bit and seem to get a bit close to the disc but they are good brakes and you would notice the step up from juicys. If you look hard enough you can get a bargain too.

Better traction with tubeless apparently, I noticed a difference when I made the change about 6 years ago would never go back to tubes now as used to hate having to carry one and then change it whilst riding. Never had a puncture since running tubeless but do so with Joes No Flats or similar. If you want to do it to remove the puncture problem then its worth it, there are other benefits too from my exp.

Yeti 575 with an ardent 2.25 on the front and at the mo an aspen on the back but thinking of changing to 2.25 ardent on back and 2.4 ardent on front as I feel a little shaky with aspen on rear its just too light to be tough enough for the Dyfi! Its gonna rain… its Wales.

Hey Nilo thanks for the offer I dont have any lights but am considering giving night riding a go, prospect of it seems a bit mad to me but I really should give it a go and find out, hate only being able to ride at weekends…

I am in Carmarthen, mostly got to Brechfa or Afan. If you are heading up this way let me know, I am in the middle of putting a new bike together for the spring… 😀

I live about 20 mins away from Brechfa and it is great that its quiet but I think it is set to grow over the next couple of years. The Raven black trail has only just been finished so I think it will rise in popularity as it now has 4 trails to offer plus a massive amount of trails that are not official. Maybe I will open up a burger van/cycle spares shop on weekends in the summer make some money out of you!
