From October next year agencies have to pay temps the same rate and benefits as permanent staff which will make the industry allot fairer, although we have been basing rates on permanent staff renumeration for years. I was amazed to read your comments Yunki 4 different parties making money from you? How would this be possible when all that is involved is the agency the contractor and the client?
There are some shite agencies out there that give others a bad name but thats the same in any industry, see if you can hook up with others that have used the agency or do a bit of research online if they concern you. These days 90% of the permanent placements we make are on a temp to perm basis through fixed agreements. The worst that can happen in this case is that it does not work out and you end up with 3 months work – you might even find that you hate working there and the flexiblity to leave would be a good thing for you… it works both ways.

after failing with compressors my extreme method was to duct tape the tyre onto the rim sounds mad but worked first time. CO2 apparently works.

I have a set of candy Ti's they are into their 5th year just had to buy a rebuild kit, they have been most reliable part on my bike but I may be going against the grain on this one.

Thanks for the input, the shock is blowing through all the travel on a regular basis at 160 psi and often sag is 33% and more when Im riding. I have done an aircan service as there has been some weird noises coming from the shock, a wheezing noise Im wondering if it is just breaking in as I have only done about 30 hours or so on it.
I have now increased the pressure to 180 in increments but it still feels crap and has too much sag for the volume of air in it.
I think I am going to get on to mojo or tft, when you say it is a known issue what were you referring to the pressure vs sag problem?
My 2009 RP23 felt much better than this.

2011 36 Talas have been using them for last 2 months, relatively light very stiff and the switch from 160 to 120 is perfect for keeping front end down on steep climbs.

Someone made a valid point on here a couple of weeks back, if no one buys the high end bikes that cost allot more to maunfacture then there is no drip down effect of technology as the research cannot be funded.

If you head to Brechfa try mixing up the trails a little, you can take a route that starts on the blue/green then swaps to black then takes in the infamous last red decent, through a ford then back onto the black for the downhill to the jump park – its about 25k and contains the best bits of all 3 trails.

For me its about balacing cost against what I get out of it, as long as I am using my bike enough to warrant the cost then Im fine with paying a few grand. I feel you only have a finite amount of years when you can really push yourself, and during this time I would like to think its me that is holding me back and not my hardwear.

Is there really that much difference, isn't it just a tapered headtube and ISCG tabs

2.35 nevegal DTC SWS on front and Small Block 8 2.1 rear perfect for trail centres rear suprisingly good in wet. Dont get the 8's in UST they are wayyy heavy. I have tried 3 combos this year and this one wins hands down. Just a shame they dont do 8's in SWS.

    @ thomthumb

You get a little about 10mm on a slider on the mech, I may run into problems with the front mech but have seen other with doubles so must be a way 🙂

I have gone for the chainring and bashguard, I have taken teeth off before so would be good to have protection. I will leave the chain device for now and see how tightly I can get this set up. With a med cage rear mech Im hoping I can get a tight chainline, I may look to change the inner ring to a 24 or 26 as I find granny gear ueless even here in deepest darkest Wales.

Cheers, I am looking at the 36, one of main reasons for doing this is to get rid of chain slap and would be great to have a more simple setup. At the moment I just don't get out of middle ring then when I do use my outer I forget and in the heat of the moment slip into big big need to aviod this.
I dont think I can get a dbl front mech as it is a direct attach, I think they only make them in 3 speed so Im guessing will have to shorten cable and play with limit screws.
I looked at the bash to keep things neat and figured it would prevent chain coming off outer ring. The chain device I thought would help with chain slap and keep everything tight.

True I guess Kenda are at fault too I only bought one and its going back, looking at this tyre I dont know about my Nevegal front SB8 rear combo anymore, might just go with a 2.35 nev on front and 2.1 nev on rear bit more 3 season proof.

Hardly over half a pound of weight on a tire should be of concern to anyone 😉

The scales show correct weights for other tyres so like I said I think they are ok I just weighed an aspen mud x and a couple of others and the weights were correct. The issue is not with kenda but with next day for not listing weight correctly. I think I am going to get standard sb8 and use sealant that should come out 250g lighter, I think…

Thanks for info, I have checked lots of other tyres on same scales and they came out as advertised within 50g or so, I think the scales are ok, they are digital to nearest gram.

I guess its by how much, +/- 60 is ok with me +180 is not.

I think I will, bit annoyed that I have to pay to send back and sort as they cant accurately relate whats written on the packaging, weight is a crucial factor with tyres and should be relayed as accurately as poss. Not nit picking just making a point.

I agree with the below it is annoying when someone wins your auction then starts to ask questions…. and you did ask if your letter seemed fair 😉

"Not really as you should have asked before bidding imho I'd be a bit hacked off if I were the seller"

Thanks, I have read lots of conflicting info about long vs med and my impression is that I could get away with a med cage fro my setup I guess I just need to be very aware of the gear I am in and not caught in the moment.

Check out Fulcrum Red Zone All Mountain just bought a set feel top notch compared to my previous AM wheels pro2's on DT5.1's, they have a 20mm front and are incredibly stiff considering they are 24 spoked. Trek have a great deal on them about 15% less than everywhere else.
