I have had some since end of last year and they are the same excessive wear with chunks missing out of the tread. Great shoes but they do seem to wear quick. As someone said earlier I maybe do move about on the pedals a bit and this can’t help. I will get them resoled with stealth when they get bad.

    I use this:
    Stephen’s DU Tool

You’re unlikely to get cheaper. I’ve used it loads over the last 2 years and it’s spot on.

Same here does the job just fine. Great price.

Very true regarding LUST my ignitor has had 2 or 3 holes where the beads connects and that is in 2 months on a bike with 140mm rear travel.
This is for a rear tyre and summer riding so ideally I am after around 2.25 max, tough and large volume.

Sorry this totally unrelated to your post but you dont have an email in your profile 😀

I have an LTC like you I bought a 2011 36 Talas last May and have been using them on the bike since. I saw that you used to have some revs on the front – what was it like with those on as I am finding that for singletack and most of the trails I could do with the bike being a bit more nippy – did the revs help with this? Could also be teh setup of the 36’s – 10 months on and I am still playing with the setup!

No but I bought mine from them direct and they have been great so far they came with sintered pads and I did have a similar problem to you but a bleed sorted it out. My only complaint is that there is too much reach before they bite which makes one finger braking difficult. Good luck sorting yours.

I have got 36’s on my LTC, not tried it with smaller forks but tempted to. Saying that though it still climbs like a goat and they can dial down to 120mm for really steep stuff. Very happy with my LTC dont have a need for any other bike.

I had a problem with mine I took a knock to the tensioner when I was clearing some rocks, or not as the case was, it knocked it onto the chainset which meant pedalling was pretty much impossible. I was miles from anywhere up at Nant Y Arian and so had to fudge a fix which took ageees. For BB mount versions I guess this could always be a problem. Mine is not on my bike anymore if anyone is interested in buying one.

Minion rolls allot faster than I expected, much faster than my Nevegal. I used High Rollers a while back and they felt like the Nevegal so there is my answer.

I will be there had no time for training so will be in pain somewhere towards the back looking for an exit

Any ideas about tyre choice I am a bit lost as there is no rain set between now and then so whether to go with mud specific or something else to make my suffering a lil easier – thoughts plz…?

I have always boiled them but will try roasting them instead as always been unsure how effective that is… I guess they get hotter if you roast them.

I run the SWS 2.35 Nev’s and they are great the SWS (side wall something) ofers extra protection for the sidewalls and seems to work well. I run the same tyre in a 2.1 on rear and they rock as a combo

Very good can’t remember the guys name but he has sorted me right out on a number of occasions. One time he got the distributors to send a part directly to me as I needed it super quick. I would put the service there on a par with Crank Bros adn thats saying something 😀

I rode it last Friday and it was alot of fun but ended up on my back a couple of times, I can see why they are closing it as the snow has covered up ice in places and the frozen ground means you fly along.

    When you combine the two….

Do you think fox float fluid would be any good they say it is anti friction… whatever that means, I would of thought all grease is.
I also have lithium grease, rock n roll super slick, standard the stuff above or light oil

Could not get to grips with it the drift is ok but not if you are doing twisty singletrack – you just cant lean far enough for the outside grips to pick up

very efficient light system with warm flood optics ensures maximum brightness without compromising on the quality of the light.

    What does that mean?
