The ‘1 in 10 snips resulting in long term pain statistics’ still keeps me from committing, despite the obvious benefits. That and the fact the GP does it, unless you’re prepared to shell out.

Having a UK office is very useful, as a point of contact. My rear shock needs attention, and being able to deal with someone here makes it just that little bit simpler

Interesting how many folks wear knee pads. What would come under the ‘don’t notice you’re wearing them bracket’ then?

as said above – if you had got the sap from giant hogweed on you, you would know about it. It is nasty stuff. And yes, you would be making the problem worse if you pulled it out of the ground. It thrives on disturbance, and a mature plant can disperse thousands of seeds, which will rapidly thrive. Chemical treatment is the most effective way to control it

Regular native knotweed tends to grow in singular, whereas giant hogweed will more often be found in clumps. It’s a lot more invasive, and tends to take over the environment it’s found in. It was introduced as an ornamental plant, before horticulturalists realised what a pita it is, along with our other favourite, Japanese Knotweed

I was very of the mind that it would be another ‘Lost’ which I wasted far too many hours of my life watching. the only reason I saw it through to the disappointing end was down to the fact that id invested so much time into it. But Ive enjoyed it. Loads of holes in the story though.

for balance, I had 3 sets on 3 bikes, and had zero problems with any of them. I sold the XT that came with one bike to put them on. Nothing needed other than pad swap and bleed.

well I received the M6 Pros that Counter recommended – infinity times better than the E10s, well for me anyway. Much stronger volume, on a par with the Shures they’re replacing. Crystal clear, and huge stage. very happy!

iPhone 6. It’s compatible with 4 upwards I think, definitely 5. And android too. You download the ‘Crane connect’ app, which does all the Aldi sports and fitness related gadgets. You can then connect the strap via Bluetooth. Then I just switched on the option for heart rate monitor in strava and it started showing BPM – dead simple

Forgot to fit a bleed block whilst changing the fluid in some elixirs. Pumped the lever, wondered what was going on, and promptly fired the piston across the garage

Possibly placebo? I don’t know. They are comfortable though, and light. I’ve crashed em twice, and scratched the top. They’re fine. :) and they’re £47 on Amazon, which is a big win

Always run around 30 in the front and a bit more in the rear. I hate that mushy rolling feeling you get with a soft tyre, and the inevitable bent rims with rocky descents

Yes used them for my iphone 6. Didn’t ha e stock, despite showing it as being in stock. Took a couple of weeks. Used them for the one before that, and had it next day

The best crank bros pedals, are the ones made by time :)

But they’re dearer, and I’m cheap. So I use crank bros

I have one – whats your beef?

Don’t get me wrong, they sounded good for the money, but thwack of volume was very disappointing. I was having to crank up the volume to almost max to get the equivalent of just over half on my old earphones. Im going to go for either those Meelectronics ones mentioned above, or the blue ones Countzero found – awaiting his comments on them first….

Well I’ve given them a day, and I’m underwhelmed. They don’t seem to have the volume of my old ones, so having to crank it up much higher to achieve the same – they’re going back.

Countzero – have you tested out those blue ones you ordered yet?

picked up some Soundmagic E10S – initial thoughts… they’re pretty good. They don’t sound as crisp or clear as my ageing Shure E2c though. seem a little muffled in comparison, and more bass oriented. can’t complain for the price though. be interested to see what those twin driver ones mentioned above sound like..

given up on dry lube. not found one that lasts more than a few hours on a ride. currently using morgan blue race oil. applied minimally, it seems to keep things fairly clean, and then i clean it after each ride. some would say a whole load of faff, but I like a clean chain :)

So cost-wise, how much would it be to order a pair of rims and have them built up into an existing hub? The only reason I ask, is superstar are doing a complete set of their carbon wheels for £450 now, which seems like a bargain

If you’re going for a one off paint job, I’d get them to match the fork. Wouldn’t cost much more, if any
