mine failed after 6 months. sags about 2 inches wen you sit on it. oil pissed out the bottom and down the seat tube. was replaced without question, and they didn’t take the old one back. Im considering getting git serviced and repaired to keep as a spare, but can’t decide if its worth the outlay….?

love TIME pedals – using XC6 at the moment. Had some old ones years ago that just refused to die. Dabbled with Crank Bros for a few years as the were a lot cheaper, they just don’t last like TIME. If you have dicky knees, or like float then they tick all the boxes in my opinion

I got this to fir to my spectral

    http://www.zefal.com/en/mudguards-mtb/73-deflector-rm60.html

Despite its extra adjustability over the standard version, it still hit the tyre on compression. Dropper post means you’re limited on height position. I ended up flipping the clamp upside down, removing the extra bar, and then dremmeling a slot into the mudguard so I could refit the toothed washer and attach it to the upside down clamp. Works pretty well

That buxton loop is a good ride – add on macc forest and shining tor and you have some great climbs and descents

i don’t see the point of boost to be honest. certainly not something that i wish my 650b bike had been specced with. Plenty of 650b non boost bikes available

my experience of their customer service has also been less than stellar. Shame, as I love the bike.

My 7EX came with one fitted. Removed it when I swapped the 34T for an AB 32T oval, as the different chainline fouled on the largest ring of the cassette. Haven’t missed it

The length of cable is the usual bugbear for me. One extreme or the other

Yeah, they’re on the shortlist. Do you notice the band around your neck? I wondered if it might get annoying – tapping your neck when running?

Same tonic, different Gins, very noticeable difference in some. Depends what you like. Each to their own

Plus 1 for forest gin. It’s made by a couple and their daughter, in langley. I bought a bottle for my wife for our anniversary. It’s really good. It’s not cheap at 60 quid a bottle though.

My second favourite would be Martin millers.

thanks for the explanation Ben! just what i was looking for. Im only around 75kg on the bike, so i would imagine the lighter tune would suit me more, but i’ll see what they say.

If I ride it, then they possibly wouldn’t have it back for a swap. No clue how different it will feel compared with the original. Guess I’ll call them and see – seems ridiculous they can’t send the right one in the first place!

Having had a DSG box for almost 4 years, I’d be peeved to go back to 3 pedals and a puddin’ stick.

So the printed plastic is part of the frame yes? How much weight does it add? And do you use less carbon fibre layers this way?

started out with a shoulder piece, which ended up being a half sleeve, not down to the elbow though, and only shows if i want it to. As for them being fashionable – maybe. Id say they’re just far more common and less frowned upon.

It won’t be if people continue to move it around, which is why more needs to be done.

    – it’s illegal to dispose of it yourself
Is ignorance ever mitigating? Or is the deliberate nature of the act that gets you prosecuted? I say that as on the strength of this thread I just googled it. I’ve got to say it looks just like ‘green stuff’ – like pretty much every plant looks to me. I profess to no real interest in gardens and plants but I can’t be the only complete ignorant out there. Thousands of folk around the country must be pulling it up and lobbing in down the tip or selling a house with the stuff in complete ignorance.

5 years ago, maybe – but everyone involved in the housing market industry should be very aware of it these days. you are liable for it. if it spread to your neighbours property, you would be liable for that too. Its really shitty stuff. I have a client and good friend who is one of the leading specialists in knotweed removal for large commercial sites. He goes to great lengths to educate people and bring awareness to the issue.

You need to educate the estate agent, they are talking through their cornhole. They are right in the fact there are licensed sites for disposing, but you need to be licensed to transport it

You can’t move it off site yourself, it’s illegal and carries a fine. It is treatable yourself, but it’s not a quick thing to remove. The root system can reach 3m in depth, and up to 7m in any direction, so what you’re seeing will not necessarily be a good indication of what’s there. It can also lay dormant for years and then reappear. Speak to a specialist imo

female colleague had one from new. had endless problems with it eating brake callipers. Fiat were adamant there wasn’t a problem and wanted to charge her each time for wear and tear. Had various other niggles too, so despite loving the car, she got rid. They do sound brilliant though!

worn orthotics for years after suffering with Anterior compartment syndrome in my shin, and knee trouble. wear them all the time and wouldn’t be without now. recently had knee trouble. New set made, and the problem went away. does make buying shoes or trainers a little more of a pain, as ideally you want a neutral shoe with minimal arch support, but not essential. SOLE, and Vionics do good footwear for people with fallen arches, although they’re not all the most attractive!

As northwind suggests – I got the RSP ego. Shiny finish isn’t high on my list, but other than that it’s faultless
