looking at the orbea range, i think the team is probably more than i can get passed the wife, so its down to the ‘XC’ or the ‘Dirt’ I’m leaning towards the dirt as it will be lighter. Am i missing anything obvious?

thanks for the input chaps – like the look of the frog bikes, particularly the 60. guessing chunky tyres would improve the look of the 62, as would the islabikees version. he already has a bmx, i want something he can happily pedal down the trails for an hour

Keaveney is turning into the moyles of 6. play some music FFS, no-one wants to hear your endless crap impressions. Laverne has good and bad days. Rad/Mac i dont mind, but come 4pm its time to turn off!

echo as above – as long you’re doing reasonable miles each day, or give it a good motorway/dual carriageway run once a week you ‘should’ be fine. lots of VAG cars suffering with issues though, which put me off when buying

after lots of research i bought a JBL flip – sound is superb for the size, and seems to get glowing write-ups. only letdown is it needs a recharge after about 3-4 hours

went from a 4 to a 5, not a huge difference, but definitely an improvement. Not sure id be so bothered if i had a 4S though. I dont use many minutes so i got a low talk tariff, 100 mins, unlimited texts and 1Gig of data for 21pm which i thought was very reasonable

I have one, its great. 45mm is large, but there are plenty of 50mm + watches available. Sadly im ‘blessed’ with girls wrists and tbh the 45mm looks a bit big on my wrist, but i love big watches so i bought it :) If I had the money it would be U-Boat for me

@dan_cube – yes, saves getting in the car to go to mongleton. However as I’m sure you;re aware cyclestore ran a shop in Macc for a while but then closed it. Not sure if it was down to it being unprofitable? Shad would probably know

I realise that the ramps are on the inside haha – i meant the rotation of the ring, as the ramps are asymmetrical.

kindle fire is good, but the OS is crippled by Kindle – having played with one and a Google Nexus, the Nexus wins hands down in my opinion

keep in mind ipad 2 is getting on a bit – id imagine the next ios release will slow it down considerably. ipad V1 is becoming a paper weight now as some of the newer apps wont install as theyre not compatible

if you want a warranty IME go with the dealer approved one. i took it out on my leon as with my luck with cars i fully expect the DSG box to fail. just had 2 top mount bearings and a CV joint replaced without any question, bill would have been £466 so im quids in

Have one of each also. X1 is truly amazing, so bright. X2 on the bars for nice pool infront. Well chuffed. Only downside? I can’t get out as often as I want to to use them!

agreed – im not interested in 3D in the slightest, but as soon as you get above 500 quid, youre paying for technology you dont want.

macc forest is rideable. charity lane was almost all ridable on saturday night. couple of drifts that were too deep. might be a little icy now, but passable with care.
