I bought some a couple of weeks ago too – 49.99 at parkers of Bolton ;) – good shape, and rise. I took 10mm of each end though, which would have been nice to have pre printed cut lines.
I tried the gold, and wasn’t that impressed with its longevity. Currently using Morgan blue race oil. Applied to each link on a cleaned chain, span and then wiped as much as possible after its had a while to penetrate. Definitely stays put, far better than any dry lube or wax based product. Does attract a bit more dirt, but I clean and relube regularly so not an issue.
so I should buy a 34T then Taz? as it will feel easier than the regular round one I currently have? i want to be off the top of the cassette a little on the steep stuff, hence why i was looking at 32 originally
thanks all. I was looking at the AB rings too. So am I right in thinking a 32T one makes the easy part of the cycle easier, (like a 30T)? and the hard bit similar to my current 34T?

squirt is a no-go then. ice wax would be great if it lasted more than a couple of hours. Few people have recommended the regular pro gold to me as well, so may give that a whirl.
Steve peat posted a nomad that has just been custom painted on his Instagram account, by some guy down south. Looked exceptionally good. He started at £150 for basic 2 colour paint job
7ex in black here. Had it about a month now. The anodised finish is pretty tough, but the downside is it’s difficult to tape up as it won’t stick very well. Ignored the sizing guide and went for a large, and it’s spot on for me. Long legs, short torso

seat stay snapped on my 7 year old fuel ex. Admittedly, it was a known weak spot by the brake mount, but the replaced the stays, and supplied a new rocker and bearings from an EX9 – all FOC.
