Was there a fairly meaty drop off I saw on one of the videos

How they’re doing it without more neon & full body armour I’ll never know

Sounds like most IT professionals I’ve met then

I heard the guy setting people off on Stage 1 had some top banter.

Got a cracking tan out of it, so it was a good days racing

    Lots of restrictions.

    Ain’t gonna happen really….

    I’ll check… But I suspect I went L => XL

Let me check what’s in the ‘box of cycling kit that doesn’t fit anymore’

Kiwi insurance isn’t too bad vfm, no personal injuries as the ‘state looks after you’ – so there’s a minimal payment to the gov.

Then you ‘choose’ to pay third party etc as it’s optional (but unwise)

End result is car insurance is not expensive. They’re in for a shock, and will spend a lot on an annual policy, then cutting it short

The car is the least of the annoyances, because if you pick well it’s easy to shift on

marcgear – can I ask what the total bill was?

    Also interested…

And in CTW comments (though since my employer uses H*lfords vouchers it’s unlikely)

Wonder how they’ll get it past the British Standards for the rear brake

Shame, as it’d be a handy thing to take to the shops

I did the same as every one & googled it, popped up in Google Shopping for £55

    Bargain…. Oh, that’s the cover.

SC shouldn’t be related to your former employer, focuses on you, your liabilities and risk around breaking the official secrets act.

Daffy – that’s pretty much my future bike (with a layback seatpost)

wwaswas – I hope so :) I feel left out with crack/sticker threads

I’d be messaging literally every person possible.

After changing the settings to ‘men seeking men’ and using google translate for ‘please send nudes’

Can you lease a big car for that little?

Looking at my companies Arval scheme (60k/3yr) that would see you in a Fiesta (not a great one though)

We want to be able to continue parking in it un hindered

Yeah, that’s the bit you’re not permitted by default to do.

What access is there at the top to ‘his’ garden? Is it likely the new neighbours will want to use that?

Just get a copy of your deeds and read them? Should tell you who is involved.

Didn’t Conti used to make a Cross Country in 1.5in?

Would be ideal if you can find some (I think they’re discontinued for lack of gnar)

Seems a little disproportionate as a reaction…. Has anyone talked to him? Maybe tell him to pick up a couple of boxes of celebrations and not eat them?

When you see him, teach him how to set security zones in Strava too – you can see which shed he ‘lost’ it from!

I couldn’t decide if it was scary or fun, but that post sealed it.

Added to ‘want’ list, worst case it’ll do for riding with my daughter

Stuck my folks 2000 Primera on eBay at 99p, no reserve on the weekend. Took an offer within a few hours. £250 (£100 more than any others I’d been following)

Likewise, sold two of my cars in the last year or so the same way, but for a few grand a piece.

As long as you get some interest (generate some of your own ;) ) and people will bid if they think they’re losing out.

jimdubleyou – probably right, but we had different plans which are now blighted by wifey needing a new knee a week after we go.

Decided a day and a half in NYC is all we’ll manage, so changed hotels to manage that – then we’re off with a car for a bit into the surrounding area

I remember my interview panel when I was going through RCB

“how would you feel about killing someone?”
“how would you deal with a significant injury, like losing your legs”

You have to demonstrate you’ve thought it through not just “yeah, get some”

They don’t just ply you with ‘fun’ stuff when you go on their application sessions (though there is a lot of that)… I got to drive a Foden truck & challenger tank & shoot stuff!

Do it, I wish I had sometimes.

Taught my daughter that instead of the usual ‘excuse me’ the correct answer is “have some of that!”

through sloppy mud I managed to find some hard surface, unfortunately it was flint and I found it with my knee.

    Quote of the day.

I was going up this morning, but realised I would probably fall out of love for biking if I had a QECP ride today

Using Dolan as a totally random yardstick (http://www.dolan-bikes.com/dolan-titanium-adx-road-frameset.html)

    About 500g penalty
