Are they in small denominations or just a fat £500?

If the former… eBay a couple a week

    27.5+ (just like Norco Torrent)

Then buy some 29er wheels :)

    Slight change of tack here.

Picked up my Norco Torrent, came home and trial fitted my 29er wheels (wrong axle width of course) and am now waiting on delivery of some 29er rims laced to boost hubs

Bags (and I mean bags) of clearance in every direction…. Might not change from the 650B+ tyres though, they’re hillariously grippy

I’m not sure I’d send novices down any of the blacks. Or some of the reds.

They all have qualifiers at the top so don’t just walk over them and start on the trail

Also, Terry’s Belly is a long trail for a novice – very tiring if you’re going to panic brake all the way.

Definitely the 3 total novices… get them to do the green trail first.

You’ll have a blast, just space yourselves out and don’t stop on the trail… Nothing worse than being on a run and finding a group having a natter halfway down

Novice novice? Like zero mtb experience?

    Sixtapod to willy waver repeatedly.

New panels, no weeds, valve / logo alignment…. You’ve shown STW a bike before haven’t you!

But that’s a nice nice bike. If you could slap a double on up front I can assess my next purchase

    Looks cool AF.

I’m just doing n-3 as well, so would like to build one of these!

If you provide it, you’ll end up maintaining it. And buying a new one when they leave it in the rain.

When I rented I always brought my own with me (or bought one initially)

Are you getting a mower or £150 off your 1st months rent? No? Well neither do they!

What kind of work are you having done to it?

    Remedial / maintenance or mods?

Just wondering if he’s unwilling to outlay on mods

Stick the plate into some MOT Check / Tax Check Government sites, that’ll tell you if it’s been sold.

Your sales invoice will tell you what’s yours?

Seems weird (I’m sure there’s a good reason) for giving someone some money, and not talking to them again for nearly a year

Just in time for one of the largest employers in the countries C2W scheme to be launched (1st June)

I think I abused that 3yrs back and got a £1k Boardman for £810, and hit Quidco up too

McDonalds, buy a coffee & sit there for a few hours.

Plentiful in France I’ve found… Clearly no good if you want to watch Netflix in your Gite….

    Group Buy on frame repairs?

Looks like an industrial repair, and that’s being generous

If it’s *that* claggy I’ll just take the fat bike.

I might try a pair of 29er wheels in when it turns up and see what tyres will clear.

It’s just for options – I rode few 650B+ bikes last weekend and was taken by them (felt like riding with a tail wind compared to some bikes)

    m0rk

Nope, but I rode one last weekend.

Was fast up hill, but the Genesis and Specialized Fuse felt nicer going down.

Flat bars were an odd choice, didn’t feel as planted going downhill as the other two

Davosauras – was that who set off the stage 3 one? Kept me chuckling for a while, but I assume they sorted that at the bottom.

Great night at the top, hopefully my flashing head torch didn’t put people off. Much.

Legs ache now, so will head back up later on – nice work on sleeping in the car Scott, must have been bright since six!

Just get here early and I’ll make you a brew :)

But somewhere around Northampton is the mid point… Towcester? Just off the A43 (I lived there for 7 years, there’s pubs and a waitrose)

Blisworth nearby has a canal to walk down, which is nice

Some trackday organisers have their own cars they can rent you.

    Might be worth a look.
