My rule is the more people they cc in, the less likely it is to jump the queue.

This is well known in my project team now, so they tow the line.

42×18 here – spins along the road at 20mph, copes with most off-roady bridleway stuff – managed about 15 miles of SDW on it

    Disappointed at the stalking effort

Sadly on streetview, there was no pic of the van :(

I’m fairly sure he’s not a full time DJ – pretty sure I’ve seen the van elsewhere in the day (I’ll have a scout about next week)

    Amusing character assassination though

    I have the Copilot Limo

It removes in seconds – but all you’re left with is a blackburn rack (if you’re commuting you might want this?)

As sambob says – about 10yrs ago I broke my metatarsal

I went everywhere on crutches that I could, putting in some proper effort to get a ‘stride’ on, dropped a stone, and lost a fair bit off my waist.

Obviously it helped I lived just 400m from work, but that meant at least 800m a day, plus carrying shopping on the way home etc.

    Are you using Chrome?

If so – that’s the problem… Something about 32 bit or 64 bit, but I used Safari & it was fine.

Also, if they keep their ride private, or delete their account they won’t show up any more – but the segment exists still

I look forward to trying out my WTB’s vs worn out Conti’s I’ve been running this weekend.

I was worried they might be a bit soft, and wear would be high – then I remembered they’re only a tenner….

I’m the same height as you, and found Giants used to have shorter top tubes in my usual Large frame size

I’d measure it up if possible against what you should need

My leisurely pootle this morning turned out to be a **** interval session.

That’s kind of why I like it…. Makes me realise I used to pootle around – now I just measure myself against myself, and if I pick up a KOM along the way so be it.

It’s made me faster since i started using it

Nice write up. I wanted to do it this year, but was woefully undertrained (so didn’t bother!)

    Maybe next year.

Did you get the bus they laid on?

    m0rk

Nope. Sometimes nicely popular, but never busy

Car parks get busy with families etc, but you’ll always find somewhere to leave the car

I think that well as the skull and crossbones for the “harder” bits, and chicken runs, strava lines should be marked :)

That said, the strava lines that have developed are ever because people don’t like that bit, or as per the one on snakes and ladders you’re just going to damned fast to tuck it back in so cut it out.

Was up there last night too, still dusty fun – just trying to get the last few fast laps in before the inevitable

The tap is still there – just well hidden round the back of the kitchen / by the park office

Group ride up there (and around) would be fun…

To think of it another way…. I’ll probably “lose” an entire Duster in depreciation of my car when I chop it in after three years…..

I was in France on hols when they launched earlier in the year – quite literally they’re everywhere there.

Things I’d be thinking about would be that you have to get quite a highly specced model so it doesn’t look too crap (painted bumpers, alloy wheels), and has a radio inside etc so that someone will offer you a decent trade in when you want to sell it.

The depreciation will be severe though….

The platform is the same as used on the Nissan Juke, Clio III and a fair few others, so it’s not a bad starting point – the engines are all known good quantities too (well, the DCi’s are)

I’ll be looking at them when they have roadgoing demonstrators – but will be careful on the spec!

    Wagon wheels or 26″?

Obviously if 29er, just cx tyres would work (I use Conti’s)

Sherifs court, rather than Moneyclaim for Scotchland.

    Stolen from MSE…

If you’re buying second-hand goods from private seller (someone who doesn’t sell goods for all or part of their living) your rights are nowhere near as strong as when buying from a shop.

The only protection is that it’s correctly described and the owner has the right to sell it. Here it really is a case of caveat emptor or ‘let the buyer beware’.

So if the seller says nowt or little about the goods and you buy it, then that’s it. Even if it’s shoddy, you weren’t mis-sold, so have no comeback. Though if they lie to you – you do.

Basically if he said it wasn’t cracked, you have a case. If he said nothing about it – you have no comeback (apart from stalking him on facebook, and driving up to stage a hanging)

Just back from there (third time this week)

It’s running well, I was over tyred with Mud X

There’s a couple of water puddles, but 99% of the trail isn’t the gloopy stuff you get over the winter.

The latest additions are bedding in nicely, with a few strava lines generated.

There’s a group from the local MTB forum meeting up at 10.50 at the quarry car park

I felt guilty walking past the people wanting tickets :( but it’s ace inside, way better than videos and pictures show

Water seems popular today. Found a third queue and joined it.

Bummer about the bigger ticket price….. oh well.

How far do you have to walk from the bus to the venue? My wife’s just got cold feet about tomorrow if there’s a lot of walking

Whatever discount codes you can apply, pick up in store – but before you order register on quidco & you’ll get 4.5% cashback ‘in store’ – I’ve had it where you get 3% for placing the order online, then another 4.5% for the instore payment (though I think they’ve clocked on this)

I really like my Boardman Team

Just a shame it was built by a moron – but if you can get it on a tax dodging C2W scheme like I did, it can be quite profitable (enough to offset the pain of halfords) – also I ordered mine via quidco & got £38 cashback too

BB30 on mine failed at 60 miles – so decided to take it to a LBS to fix, and claimed back the money unwillingly from Halfords, rather than have the YTS workshop manager take it out with his hammer.

    Not sure about that….

But I have £45 for the men’s too, I’m hoping to sit somewhere for that, but my tickets don’t make it obvious

Probably look to upsize a little from the Fabia to the Octavia – they’re massive inside
