Used to do 4×9.25 fixed hours, then moved to 4.5 day week on flexi

I’m salary paid, so it makes no odds pay wise, but I do a lot more hours on 4.5 than I did before! 37 plays 47 normally!

The long weekends every week were nice, but the productivity of everyone being there for more days has increased, so that’s no bad thing

Not worked a ‘full’ five day working week contractually since 2001 – I think I’d really struggle if I had to move to that again

Postpone your birthday a few months… The weather will be better, the baby will be older (you’ll feel less guilty being away), might have saved up a bit to have the night away too :)

Without even looking you know that QECP will be a mud fest, I went out (in the car) through the lanes earlier and they’re very very wet, so I can imagine the bridleways will be damp

Agree with the Flying Ox on the financials…. on my last trip in 2011 I decided that would be my last driving trip… Far too many crashes (brits mostly), too many dicks playing show off & to be honest it was so packed in the local area it was solid traffic.

Two of my friends have had crashes there, one a major multiple roll over event – horrendous looking results, but luckily he walked away

The biggest difference is the elevation.

Video games help with letting you know what goes left from right, and what’s coming next – but I was approx 10% slower in real life in a like for like car (Renault Clio / SEAT Ibiza)
