    7 speed thumbie?

Looks a bit noddy, but simple & cheap (£10)

Are those all the same model cars with that spread of price?

£1.8k 52 48k probably gets my vote if so, and there’s no astronomical service due at 60k

    Ordinary Paternity Leave
    You must:

    be an employee
have worked for your employer continuously for at least 26 weeks by the end of the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth (known as the ‘qualifying week’)
    give the correct notice

    https://www.gov.uk/paternity-pay-leave/eligibility

Sounds like you’ll be taking it as holiday

I remember bodging some thumbies on about 20yrs ago like this

    However, Retroshift looks interesting

Looks a little long in the top tube (by 10mm) compared to my inbred 29er

What’s the ETT (and stem length) of your existing bike(s)?

Did they just pause the garmin for the ‘boring’ bit between the hills?

Can’t think why you would, but that would give this result

I used to have a cover for my old ‘time trial’ bike back when I was a juvenile.

Weighed in all at a bloody ton, but at 15 it was all I could afford – still took an average of 1.5mins off my 10 mile time though!

No experience of the GForm, but have ‘used’ my Endura 500’s in anger a fair few times, and so far have no bumps or cuts to recover from.

What distance / ft climbing is it on the route?

I could be up for it

Can I have the link to your court files? The one on your site isn’t working (or I’m useless)

Belfast is the only one to have stock. Bit far from me (511 miles apparently)

I too enjoyed not catching, and not being caught by people – even though the car park was busy the trails felt quiet all day.

People were all friendly and chatty on the climb which helped, and the locals who’d been up there all weekend were a good source of information.

Bits that would make it better (and aren’t the fault of the owners!)

DH riders pushing up the trails – not cool when you are coming in hot and are confronted by someone in PJ’s and a behemoth walking up the blue trail

People stopping on the ‘line’ mid trail to wait for a mate

    Everything else was great IMO

The food at the cafe was great, quick service too when I went in at 2ish.

I took a 120mm FS, I don’t think I’d have needed it on the blues, but I wouldn’t want to do some of the rockier bits of Rim Dinger on a hard tail!

I’d like to have got to a black trail, but the combination of my brake pads wearing out on the previous run & “just one more run” syndrome would probably have left in Cardiff A&E

Just back from BPW, having made a late call last night to do a 400 mile round trip

It’s awesome fun, even though I had to ride to the top – you can still link enough of the trails together.

More later once I’ve had dinner

    How was the parking coping?

Probably find it’s assigned to a self employed driver, who doesn’t have any other deliveries in your exact area so it’ll be chucked to the back of the truck until he is nearby or chucked back to the depot

Never heard of it before, so googled it & the third link was my LBS

When it snapped, did you join it using a quick link or chain tool?

I joined mine with a tool 5 times until I realised the error (and frustration) of my ways

If it was mine, it’d be a bit close to what I’d have as a pub bike.

If it was for sale, I’d move onto the next less broken frame

If it’s much like the Ibiza’s that share the same platform your shopping list will include a new plastic grill

You’ll need to remove much of it to get enough space in there to try & hook the latch with something like a coat hanger all bent up

Bear in mind there’s guards designed to stop access from the front though, you might be unsuccessful & have to resort to cutting the bonnet

I stayed here probably 8 years ago http://caegwynfarm.co.uk/barn.htm

Was basic, cheap, walking distance to a pub IIRC & had showers with warm water (cold air was foc)

I’d stay there again I think

As above, have gone SS & 1×10 this year on two bikes using ‘normal’ deore rings

The chain’s not fallen off once, but I will change them once they wear out to something more specific.

Re: loose bolts – you have changed them to SS specific ones?

Guilt is a feeling that is often confused with the need to get a new bike.

You’re either an even or an odd person – clearly you’re on the ‘wrong’ number, and it should be corrected in short order
