I used to opt out & take the cash…. New cars, older cars.

Then I went back in, took a car & haven’t looked back…. tyres at £200/corner replaced for having a nail in them…. a couple of windscreens… no interest in insurance costs etc – anyone can drive the car.

I’m a bit gutted that I’m handing it back next week when I leave the company, but then I’ve not got the nause of having to sell the thing or trade it in either.

Opt in – certainly with the miles you’re doing. With a fuel card I’d be looking for a ‘normal’ car to get the better value from the electric miles – so a 150bhp 1.4TSI DSG in a Golf? Should just about hit your target mpg for AFR purposes.

Is it something special that is worth flying over from Germany for?

If you’ve found a buyer & he’s booking a flight today… I’d be tempted to forego a deposit and just get cash / bank transfer on arrival

About to do it to Canada – https://www.petairuk.com/

Bloody expensive for a £30 moggie, but it was a condition of emigrating from my daughter

    Do it.

I’m going in two months after a firm called me.

In fact, I was there last week house hunting.

Other side to BC, but can’t wait to get back

    ‘Meal’ implies microwave?

Do they cook from scratch at nursery? It might just be nicer.

If the owner had it repaired…. ask for photo’s of the post accident damage & invoices for the repair.

If you’re buying it from someone who bought it, and repaired in his garage then I’d be more nervy

Check everything works, and have a thorough nose around & above. You may find it next to impossible to get fully comp insurance too.

I’ve bought one, but it was cheap (sub £1k), I’m not sure I’d risk a lot on one.

Good effort, if you were slightly further along (QECP) I’d have offered you a floor / garden

I first met Maxtorque about 12yrs ago when he was building his WRC-a-like car

If he says it, it’s right when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Headed to Nova Scotia. So at least it’s the nearest seaport for the container. I’ll probably send all but one bike in the container, and take one on the plane.

Yes – all things to be inventoried (the shippers will do this when they pack the house), but I’ll give the bikes a ‘good’ clean, if not a full strip and decontaminate like for NZ!

    Cheers!

    Excellent news

It’s a 40ft container, not a bike bag luckily – all rather sudden, so the thought of immaculately cleaning all my bikes, my wife’s bikes & now my daughter’s bikes in a few weeks was somewhat offputting.

‘apparently’ he is a film type who was testing his latest gear

I still reckon he was barrelling along like a knob, not paying attention hence the total overreaction & nerfing a dry stone wall

Just read your TP1, it’ll be explicit in there if you do or not.

If you have right of access on their ‘land’, then all is well…. might be worth finding your transfer deed for the original sale of the land from the land owner to the developer if your solicitor passed it onto you

Pictonroad, where did you get the adaptor for the magura brakes to canti boss?

It’s quite steep at 75deg so I had been looking at those same forks!

Valet on site with Gatwick official was cheapest by far for me three weeks ago.

Dropped it just outside the terminal, picked up from short stay. I won’t use anything else now.

Picked up the frame from Solent Powder Finishers in Southampton this morning. Very happy with the masking of threads and seatpost/headset areas.

Then we got into building it up for the moment with the bits that I’d bought (stem, seatpost, pink grips & pedals, UN52 Sealed BB, Hoy Chainset, chi-carbon stem & seatpost, new headset)

It’s a proper cool little bike, just needs the new bars to arrive (and be cut down), and I’ll sticker it up with some custom silhouettes and it should be awesome!

I might even fit the brakes if she’s lucky.

Just apply it to a male alternative….

Who here (men) would sign up to the Men’s only “rent boy” category?

I suspect the turn out would be low.

I’m in FL at the moment, not too far from where this was ‘filmed’

The news anchors seem genuinely shocked at this, and the police interviewed seem annoyed that it’s OK to watch someone drown & not assist… in so much as it’s not against the law

Buy wisely & you’ll be fine.

I had a DSG model, which was fantastic, but I feared for maintenance costs for it. I miss it daily.

Sounds like you need a new bike if you’ve only ridden 30 miles.

You need it to get your mojo back

Well I might be unpopular… But I worked on the programme some years back, and I’m proud I’ve got a link to it.

    From admiral’s FAQ

“My boyfriend owns the other car registered at our address.”
That’s okay, if both cars are registered at the same address you can both benefit by insuring both your cars through us. And don’t worry you will each build up your own No Claims Bonus separately. If one of you is involved in an accident in your own car that won’t affect the other driver’s No Claims Bonus.
Verdict: Yes, MultiCar could be for you

So if your missus crashed the car she owned, that you’ve insured then it’s your policy that had the claim against it.

O-O have the ‘new’ frame at £180 at the moment.

Any repair will surely cost as much (or nearly)
