    £60/week

I’m looking for a new Sugar Daddy ;)

Jokes aside, when I was 16 (so erm, 20yrs ago) it was £50/m

Of course, no such things as mobile phones and transport was one of my bikes. I saved for everything else with my saturday boy wages in the LBS of £20/week

Just pick the reason that it’s no longer available and you’ll pay minimal fees

I’ve advertised a few cars on eBay, 99p no reserve and treated it like a shop window.

People bid, people ask questions, then they ask for a BIN price and if it’s sensible – they’ll just buy it before the auction is over.

The last car I sold (in the past month) went up on Sunday night, and was off my driveway inside 24hrs. The one before that… Three days.

    All paid cash, or BACS.

Anyway, meant I sold them for an eBay fee of £10

Or leave it on my driveway, and I’ll give you a lift to the ferry.

I’d be wary leaving a car obviously unattended for a couple or few weeks in either Portsmouth or Gosport.

    Email in profile (I think)

Probably worth selling. People love buying those kind of things to do up. They’re more into the doing up, than riding it.

Been with my wife for 27 years , the urge is still there at least half of the days of the week (or more). The feeling is mutual she informs me

Conveniently on the other half of the days of the week one assumes

US Customs asked me ‘a lot’ of questions in December about my Saudi Visa’s

Still let me in, but make sure you have a good back story for why you went there (depending on the industry you work in)

Reasons I chose not to take the needles in the pelvis….

    1) They ask you about your life insurance, and will pay up an additional policy due to the GA ‘risks’
    2) They count the number of teeth you have, because “often you lose some when you get flipped onto your front with the pipe down your throat”
    3) Recovery was a few days vs zero days

They also paid for my (then) girlfriend to come with me, as there was no way I was fit to drive home after three days in Bristol

Yup, I got a letter a few weeks after they took the sample.

Was a very humbling process, although anonymous you can figure out various things about the receiver.

I opted for the ‘filter your blood’ option, rather than the massive needles in your pelvis under GA.

It was a week or so of prep, where you get injected with a dose of medication to boost your blood with whatever they want to salvage, basically makes you have growing pains. A lot.

Then you’re hooked up to a machine for a day or two while they pump you full of fluids and filter your blood out.

Worst bit about the whole thing was having 4L of saline pumped into me, and not being able to go to the loo for a piss. They offered a bottle, but I opted for holding out.

They pay your expenses, mileage, decent hotel & meals so it’s pretty good

    Wikipedia is your friend

The liquid has evolved to light oil and then a mixture of water and antifreeze (glycerin or glycol). An added benefit was that glycerin and glycol slowed the descent of the snow. Caution should be taken if a snow globe is broken because the liquid, which can contain antifreeze, can be deadly to cats and dogs if ingested or licked off their fur.[4]

I worked in Glasgow for 15 months, so flew Southampton to Glasgow out on Sunday night, returning Thursday night or Friday afternoon.

I got really really good at sleeping on planes from the moment I sat down, chose the seat I wanted to get off quickly and exactly all I needed to pack.

It helped I’d positioned a car at each end, and had a flat in Glasgow.

All on expenses, so life was easier. Except for the ash cloud, or when Flymaybe cancelled or shortened to Birmingham.

Where are you going to be working?

If he has one, wear it. Conditions him for when he properly interviews for a job.

he can always keep some jeans in the car for immediately after

Might not be able to access Facebook in Saudi, unless she (illegally) uses a proxy or knows how to.

Also, if she’s married to an Saudi, she may now respect his wishes to not engage in ‘friendships’ with men.

It might not be something to be worried about, she’s just gone down a very different path

One of the Shimano’s – I have them on one of my bikes (M355) and they’re fine after much jetwashing, ignoring & abuse

I swapped my fat bikes FSA for an XT last month just as you described

Chucked the middle bit away, and had to use the spacers provided. Everything is happy now, and running sweetly

They said the initial deposit from the fist purchaser in chain is basically passed on up the chain

Doesn’t make sense… If you had a decent length chain the first house deposit of say 10% – £25k would be worth 5% of a £500k house

What are they offering %age wise? It should be enough to compensate the chain for their costs if they pull out

OP – how much do you have left over at the end of the month normally? At a guess, with Rent at £550, you’ll need maybe £800 for routine bills, food etc

No ‘running costs’ for the car included (MOT, Servicing, Maintenance, Tax)
    No Holiday savings
    No Clothing
    No debt repayments

MoneySaving Expert site has a good calculator to work it all out somewhere.

I was invited to a black tie bash earlier in the year

£130 at debenhams was cheaper than most rental places and isn’t too bad looking.

You won’t care if you chuck food down it at that price
