Bmx… Conveniently I have a frame I could sell you that is suitably sized… Seriously, you'll learn far more than on a mtb…

I never used to understand it, but since riding bmx for the last 6 months non stop, I can. Just one less thing to worry about… I'm changing my xc mtb to having a chain device again, nothing to do with the fad that has started in here, just cause I want the extra security. I am tempted to go singlespeed for the winter too…

All a bit different in theory but can be used for each thing… I'd say a 'jump bike' would be a very small frame, single speed, only a back brake, and either rigid or short travel and firm forks. Can be light if you are a smooth, experienced rider but generally built strong. 4x isligjter, has a front brake, has gears, suspension and a bigger frame. And a 'hardcore hardtail' is just a beefed up 4x bike. Alll generalisations there.

deore hubs are just a bit poor in my opinion… I snapped the axle on the front within one week and destroyed the rear within 2 weeks. just cut your losses and buy a new wheelset. Just my opinion…

_tom_ no offence but it is due to bad technique… I was the same, even little 1 foot drops were harsh at first, but I've slowly learnt to absorb the landings… It's amazing how much mtbers rely on suspension to absorb impacts…

Try taking the spacers out from under your stem, and put them on top… You'll get more weight on your front wheel then.

Oh, I highly reccomend the cane creek ergo bar ends… Sooooooo comfy. Much better than any others I've ever had…

I have them… Can't see why you wouldn't now, they make it more comfy on any piece of track where I don't need to brake, I probably use them about 50 percent of the tome… Mine are on a 140mm hardtail as well.,,

Well, I'm going out with a preety, inteligent ( as far as I can tell) girl tonight… I just got a text from a few friends who are going to ride a skatepark after work… It says alot that I thought damn, I can't ride, I'm going on a date… I'm just not fussed at all really at the moment, although at the same time, I think 2 years is long enough being single…

I'm not a very ambitious person really, just want to keep on riding my bike as much as possible, and to pay off my debts.

Well, I am led to believe it is quite strong… A guy I ride
bmx with has his laced like that, and says it's because it builds a stiff and strong wheel. It's just difficult to build… He certainly abuses his anyway…
