Apparently snake oil was sometimes more likely to be effective than the “proper” cures at the time the phrase was first coined. Those stickers are b*ll*x though, everyone knows that the fastest bikes are painted orange and no amount of stickers, holograms or even stickers with holograms will change that. 😀
I found the 2.4 Pro was an excellent, reasonably quick xc tyre (much better than it’s little brother) with only 2 drawbacks. First, the sidewalls were always a bu**er to seal tubeless and second, the grip dropped off long before the tread looked worn which hurt . . . a lot. So have patience if you run tubeless and change them the moment you suspect the grip is less than you would like.
Squirt here. I have to re-apply after every ride and always leave it overnight. It has survived some 7 hour jaunts in the past (the trails are never dry). Interested to hear how folk are getting on with Smoove.
a_a, I think that George is England’s 1st choice hooker it’s just that they want him on the pitch during the later stages of the game and they want to use both hookers rather than run him into the ground.
Has Evans played centre for the Scarlets ? If you want to lose some sleep what about Cuthbert on the wing with Biggar at 12 and Davies at 10. Gatland may be acquiring a taste for this arrangement even if the players are not particularly suited to it. Tips may have more chance of being selected on the wing than at 7 though, at least when Moriarty is fit.
I think Hartley will still start for England if he is in the team. If Jones is going to use both hookers then it makes sense to have George on the pitch when there is more space. If the bench were seen as replacements it would probably be the other way round. Nowell could be an option at full back, he used to play there for the under 20s with Watson on the wing.
Would Keelan Giles be a possible winger for Wales ? Also what about Scott Williams at 12, only this time tell him to play his natural game rather than do a weak impersonation of Dr Roberts.
Very enjoyable. Some good performances as well, both starting locks especially and I thought Nowell did well too. Not many chances for JJ or North though.
Maybe need to look at the bench, safe players are not going to be of much use. Also, thought that POM was doing well in the line outs and Teo in defence.
Would rather have started with Itoje and had Lawes or Henderson on the bench, but I think he was committed to this choice when he played CL and IH for 80 minutes on Tuesday. Curious to see how the wingers stay warm outside of JD2 as well.
Mine is a ML GX with a Yari. At 5’11 1/2″ I could have gone for a L, but I have short legs and wanted the 170mm dropper so I chose the smaller frame. It is an excellent fit, and although the numbers make it seem long, it isn’t. A superb bike, in fact despite many demos of vastly more expensive steeds, the 120 is the best I have ever ridden. Get good brakes as it will bring out the hooligan in you.
1st try was just an overlap, Nowell came in to try and cut it off but didn’t get close so poor judgement. Not sure why HP got there as late as he did though because most of the game ( and in the 1st match) the lions seemed to be using the fullback to cover the outside channel in situations like that. Nowell should have known the cover was not there though and tried to buy time by drifting.
Not sure I’d put West’s try down to a simple error, I thought it was well worked. A straight-forward overload, runner from deep inside Itoje and runner from the line just outside in the gap between Itoje and POM. Itoje chose the outside man (most players will do that rather than turn their shoulders in), but if he had gone inside it would have needed a very big hit to stop the offload. Maybe Itoje and the rest of the line should have been tighter to pick up that sort of run, but they had been exposed on the flanks several times during the match.
Did Biggar go off for a head injury ? If he did then he’s out of training for a minimum of 2 weeks and won’t play for 19 days at best. That’s assuming that they follow the normal return to play guidelines.
1 to 9 good, beyond that we didn’t look threatening at all. Itoje was excellent. Need to work on the wide defence, Nowell and 1/2p seemed to be working to different plans in defence.

Rorschach – I think it depends upon where people are riding. Lot of rocks around here which shredded the casings of several previous tyres including 2 Conti X King Protections.
