Probably Chris king, if you believe what’s written etc. Never had that kind of cash, so based on what I think is a reasonable spend, along with ability to service and get spares it would be Hope for me.

That’s why so many teachers organise ski trips for the School!

Try cheaper destinations like Poland (yes) & Bulgaria. Italy and Austria can be cheaper, just pick a grim purpose built resort. Leave Switzerland and France alone, way too expensive, even the cheaper places.

Have you thought about driving, and staying further down the mountain and then driving into the resort each day? Can save quite a few £££’s. If you also go self catering, then buying bread etc in the local supermarket and then eating on the slopes can also save a bit, as is not buying drinks, snacks etc up the mountain!

    Good luck….

Bump off next doors horse, then you’d have all the ingredients you’d need for Tesco Economy Burgers

They fit like proper disco slippers should – higher ranges tend to give more ways to adjust, and more parts that you can replace ie buckles, soles, heel caps etc

    – really? Heard him a couple of times on R4, and just don’t get it?

Best, mmmm so many to choose from and echo a lot of the above. On reflection, Bill Hicks, Rhod Gilbert, Jimmy Carr, Sean White to name a few.

Much of LW can’t be that ride-able at the moment given the trashing by the FC last year, and biblical amount of rain in the last few months?

There is a bigger picture here about Halfords wanting to play with the big boys. Lots of the the leading mfrs / distributors are locked into or owned by larger retailers – think CRC/Wiggle/Evans.

Selling Pinarello’s could be the straw that breaks the camels back, and widens the market of distribution up, meaning lower prices, more choice and better access to products for all. Could even help get more cyclists on bikes….

In a company this size, a director in title and a shareholder/director will carry different responsibilities.

As a director (in title) a lot of your responsibilities should be listed / shown in your JD – however the key difference between an employee and a director is that you need to (legally) act in the best interests of the “company” at all times. This includes yourself, ie you put the Companies interests ahead of your own..

Seriously, some online places like photobox allow you to upload and then they’ll print onto / into pretty much anything you want – albums, coasters, place mats, framed pictures etc.

    My experience of standard alpine types resorts is that;

Former ‘eastern block countries are cheapest – Bulgaria, Poland etc and generally English not a problem but resorts, equipment, facilities can be limited.
Italy – always good value for money as is Austria
Switzerland, France can both be stuuuupid expensive
North european places like Sweden and Norway more expensive again. Pick the country first then find a resort.

Junior L finishes GCSE’s this year, and we’re heading to the Alps for 3 weeks for a bit of a riding road trip with 5 bike parks, Alp D’Huez TDF stage and a couple of other ideas I’m planning. 2 DH bikes, and a motorhome – can’t wait…..

It’s only 1500 mtrs high, so that late in the season the snow could be well dodgy – if the only reason for going is to ski, I’d be thinking about resorts that are at a higher altitude and therefore more snow sure.

Depending on the helmet, you can wear a beanie underneath?

On One / Planet X were selling snowboard helmets a couple of years back at very low prices, and were well made – not sure what happened after that or if they still do.

So an apology(kind of), but no action or commitment to action – seems more chaotic to me and still letting buyers down with stuff paid for and not being sent?

Have you looked in the shed, mancave, garage – they are the obvious hiding places for a “secret pressy”, otherwise not worth having?

Yep, I carry a utag id, put it in a usb slot, update details, take out, that’s it. Used a lot by motorbike riders, so I understand.

Mecki’s is the bike shop in Tarbole – although all advertising of the shop inside and out includes gratuitous use of the “F” word – strange……

    lucien
    Full Member

Yes, plenty of times. Lot of riding to be had and depending on what you are seeking. Most of the larger bike shops (there are a few) will do a gpx download for you, free. There are a couple of uplifts also, again mainly linked to the bikeshops. Only big downside is the large number of tourist fashionistas in matching lycra, bikes etc but who dont seem to be able to ride a bike that well

Great way to record rides and stuff – don’t bother editing too much, just cut out the “looking in the lens / is it on” shots, rename and store on external HD. Always good for a bit of a memory jogger etc when winter is here etc.
