We’ve just moved from MS Exchange to Google App’s – and whilst initally sceptical and typically luddite in my IT knowledge it’s been amazeballs.

I can see/share/edit/save any document on any device from anywhere including my phone.

    Same with the emails

I can open browser windows content on my laptop and see exactly where I left off in my PC or Tablet when I move somewhere else.

We’d been using Exchange Server 2003 for a good few years, needed a new server machine and understood also that there is no very limited support available from MS and others, so the whole thing was looking grim. For 6 users, on 3 sites, plus various others, we were being quoted server costs and changeover / software fees of between £5k and £15k As it is we’ve switched over for less than £1k plus a few ££’s per month per user for Google Apps – great value as well.

We explored a couple of managed cloud services from “IT” companies, and also putting our MS programmes in the cloud – they now seem like a total rip-off to me apart from the initial and ongoing costs.

    Worth exploring….

Any good course, coach or instructor should allow you to go at pace, level that you are comfortable with, and whilst they can help build confidence and technique, should not push you further than you want to go…IMHO

Most are unique to the supplier and are administered by “professionals” in a controlled environment. Tbh, it’s not the sort of thing you can practice for and it’s more a case of either you can or can’t.

Used to puzzle me when I lived in Reading, why do the locals write the number oddly? I notice Brummies do it too, 0121-4xx xxxx rather than 01214 xxxxxx.
Anyway, when I was living in Reading I never needed any carpets or blinds so never called or emailed

Queenstown a must, so is Milford Sound – there is an awesome aquarium there where you literally walk down into the water, where the sea meets fresh water and look out and the sea life look back at you from their natural habitat – always made me wonder who was in the tank! Amazing place…..
Also thought Pancake Rocks, North of Greymouth were worth the trek as was Abel Tasman – saw Orca, Seals etc. swimming alongside our small boat which was the only way to land on the beach as no cars were allowed in the park.

Wished I’d have skipped Nelson and Christchurch TBH – not much more to add here….

Am totally jealous…………….wish I’d have taken the opportunity to hire a bike and ride at Queenstown.

5’8″ here. I did use a 29er on some 24 solos, and I also had a 69er, but when ‘I’ raced them on tight circuits I fell right back.

    I had a 69er once, then I got married…….
