If you are mobile and don’t mind a diversion

    – what the 190k there, let alone back 😯

    My post earlier

You’ve got to love the advice on this forum!
@ mike, I am, for 10 days after Alpe D’Huez part of the trip. Then heading off further up the valley to Valloire, Montgenevre, and then over to Italy.

I’ll be in a motorhome and keen to get the most from each location, hence the question.
    .
Thanks for the help and I’m sure it was well meaning but as much use as a chocolate teapot 😆

Tony, us mortal riders have none of those issues as we’re not that fast. On a serious note, had similar issues with RQ’s, both burping and mis-shaping that I’ve gone back to tubes for anything where gravity plays a hand!

Scab then pick, scab then pick, scab then pick, until it goes…or you come off again!

Thanks ADN – Small fire road climb seems OK to me! Not sure about the XC stuff, I’ll stick with the DH / Enduro routes for this trip.

In as many words, my take on it is that it’s a bit of a “f~~k you” type gesture – mainly unconscious, no different to other generic gestures in other countries / races, before anyone plays the racism card….

Voltage is notoriously small in frame size even in its largest guise. I always thought it was 2 seat posts, 2 clamps with the inside tube connected to the saddle?

@mindmap3 – after the Werewolf drop, climb up and it levels out and then gets bermy/small drops, before the roller coaster bit – it was the bermy/drop bits where they were loitering….saw them by the Cafe after I’d put bike in the car etc and all seemed “well” with the injured hoodie.

4 scallies on the FTD trail late last night @ cannock, trying to get me to stop as they were feigning injury. 3 on bikes one on foot – must think I was born yesterday……seen most things at trail centres.

was down on the lake last month… what bike are you taking? even with my 160 forked Alpine I was tiring on some of the descents… so freaking rocky and no let up. there arte better places to visit, but…..

Took my Pitch with 160’s on it – fine, but was working very, very hard on some of the trails (down), loose, steep, rocky, rubble was awesome… 😯

Most of the commercial maps show bike routes on them for that area. I’ve ridden up the road to Malcesine, and taken a trail all the way back to Garda, but would be hard pressed to describe when to find it. The other option is the bike shops, all have trail maps, and most will put a GPX file on your gps if you have one?

Enjoy the trip, post pics when you return!

On a slightly more serious note, it’s nicely re-assuring to read all the comments above.

This was the real purpose in starting the thread, so much something in nothing, it’s just frustrating that my taxes are paying for whole heap of pointless debate.

The black bracket on the brakes, unbolts, and different sized ones can be purchased to suit the size of rotor you are running on the rear wheel. On my Inbred Ive stopped the bracket around to make it fit. Not sure what issues you think you have with the brakes, as with pics supplied, it all seems solvable.

On the Hope vid, when it says bang the bearings in – it really means that. Did mine, it was draggy, undid it all again, bashed harder and it was fine.

Had mine for 6 months or so, and find it awesome! So much so, that I’ve stopped taking the laptop to most places and rely on my ipad and keyboard. My only complaints would relate to all apple / iPad stuff, (flash, iTunes, connectivity, etc), certainly nothing specific to he mini.
