I’ve just changed to Time from a mix of SPD’s and Frogs – the time ones seem much more durable and on anything other than the cheapest you can set the tension. I’ll double check mine, but also think you could unclip either way (left and right). Hear what’s been said about Crank Bros but can’t deal with past misdemeanours so they’ll need to up their reputation before I rush and buy their kit.

Agreed in the tapered head tube, only for more fork choices. Other than that, the only thing that needs “fixing” on the Pitch would be changing the rear QR for something bolt through.

Have run mine in light xc build and got it to about 27lbs, and also in heavy DH mode (didn’t bother weighing that one), it’s done the Alps, trail centres , day rides, Uplifts, local woods – the whole 9yds and I love it.

It’s the atmospheric pressure, as it changes through the day. You ride faster not due to improved athletic performance but changes in the atmosphere as the day warms up.

If you really want to know, put a power meter on your bike.
