Used to live next door to a fireman, what a w***er he was. Just like my current neighbour who has a high end job in the council and does about 35 hours a week.
And as for a fireman being a dangerous job? Well they know what they are getting into and no one forced them to become a firefighter. The real heroes in this world were the men and women sent to war.
Used to live in Breedon on the hill and would recommend the old railway line from the quarry up towards Derby where you can get onto the canal, very flat and fast!
Boy racers with loud exhausts – hate them with a passion.
Also nobs with illegal number plates, I would take them to Halfords to buy some legal ones and give them a screwdriver to change them there and then.
And last but not least scumbags with their foglights on when it isn’t even foggy!!
That’s the incredible Terry Bozzio with those four bass drums. Check out Jeff Beck’s Guitar Shop album and you will get some idea of what an incredible musician he is.
I had a hope hub serviced recently and cost me £48 !!!
Wouldn’t have bothered if I thought it was going to cost that much, they are fantastic hubs though.
Have to agree with some of above – Sons of Anarchy is superb (latest season currently on tv Wednesday nights at 10pm)
In terms of comedy though you have to check out Modern Family, fabulous characters, intelligent and funny.
To reclarify what I am looking for is a site like Singletrack where I can buy a used road bike, as much as I like this site it is aimed more for moutain bikers and I ride both on and off road.
The driver did not stop and the bus driver deserves a medal for stopping that car. I must agree the cyclist seems to have little common sense though, your asking for trouble riding in the middle of the road!
Just scraped under 18 minutes which I was very happy with being 42 years old. Although I have been a runner for over 20 years and run twice a week. At my best when I was about 30 in just under 15 minutes. Although cycling has always been my stonger discipline and much prefer cycling.
Derbyshire is the best bet, and not too far from you. A lot of short steep climbs and also some longer less steep hills as well. Wish I was there right now as I am happiest when going up hills!
I started a thread sometime ago about CRC, what was once a great company with good prices, good service and very quick delivery. No longer I am afraid. I use Merlin now they are excellent.
Your ‘boss’ ia an amateur pure and simple, he should know you are unable to work. What if something happened at work, an accident for example? You would also be considered foolish and irresponsible if you went to work as well.
