Flip the bike over and aim the jetwash at the tyres, see how fast you can make the wheel spin. Strangely satisfying and fun.

True, does seem big to me too.
    5″9 on a 17″ framed bike.
Probably better to have a bike the right size or a touch small whilst still learning the skills. This may turn out to be a perfect bike for the lad when/if he grows into it but until then, no.

Zippykona, fair enough, he sounds decent. But their party needs some changes too, particularly at the top.
Its a strange position when a political party’s biggest liability ( IMO – Clegg ) is also their most successful politician, being deputy PM. I guess it goes to show what “successful politics” is in this country now.

Also, would anyone vote Liberal Democrat now?

I agree that its a discrace that there is no choice in a so-called democracy, with a political system designed to protect the status quo, and governing parties (the previous one included) with private debts to sponsor corporations that they put above the welfare of their citizens.

    OP, If an ad states

    “these brakes”

, not “this model of brakes” or “brakes similar to these but not these” then I’d expect it to be “These Brakes”. Particullarly when buying second hand.
I believe you are completely within your rights to ask for your money back.
The brakes that you bought have not been supplied.

So, do we keep a supply of good teachers unemployed to replace any possible sackings?
Or do we replace the sacked ones with other sacked ones who are not working?
Or do we allow schools to poach sought after good teachers midway through the school year, from rival schools, therefore hopefully improving their results at the cost of the rival (and the respective schoolchildren) and leapfrogging them on the all important league tables?
Maybe we could have a January transfer window ,ala football, were richer Arab sponsored schools could buy the star players from the less well supported(financially) mid-table schools to enable that final push for the all important results in May.

The letter of the law say if you go in two footed with your studs showing, you’re walking.

It doesn’t, or if it does then I can’t see it written like this in the rules.
I think, without evidence myself, that this is a media interpretation of the rules. But I’d be happy to be proved wrong.

Edit: I think Lineker hinted towards this last night, but it doesn’t make for as much post match controversy/banter.

If you do decide to go to Brechfa, then give Cwm Rhaedr a try. its well worth the extra 10km or so to drive to.
    http://www.forestry.gov.uk/pdf/CwmRhaeadrMtBkguide1.pdf/$FILE/CwmRhaeadrMtBkguide1.pdf
Cwm Rhaeadr is possibly the flowiest, nicest trail in Wales.*

(*Disclaimer – there maybe [probablly is] better but I’ve not tried them in my limited experience, and it will make you smile)

edit. about 7km total, 1/2 up then down, but so much fun you’ll want to do 2 laps. a little exposed at the top of the climb, but then pretty much all through the trees on the way down. loads of berms and bumps and jumps but all rollable.

Wtf with the mtfu mofo? I only asked a technical question about tyres. Or at least that was my intention.

You only got a technical answer, MTFU.
    Too technical for you?

    Jamie was right above.

So if Scotland does become independent, how will it be decided who is a Scot (and ‘worthy’ of a passport)?

Birth place, place of residence or something else?

    Cholesterol test.

I know its not really that healthy overall, but was wondering about it as a possible “pudding replacement”.

The saddle position is set first, for comfortable pedalling, as DanW says above.
Shorter stems (as used on modern bike geometries) quicken steering, to compensate for the trend for slacker head angles. Wider bars then compensate for the shorter stem and bring weight forward, closer to the “original” position.

Stick some heavier forks, such as coil Lyriks, on the front to balance it out.
The centre of mass will return to the “traditional” position.
Then use the extra gears to carry a little more speed into your jumps to compensate for the extra weight.
    ;)
