Soul is a marketed as a pretty versatile “do it all ” hardail.
I don’t see a problem as an only bike, particullarly if you put a U-turn fork on it.

Not even if she … is a completely different person to the one which existed 30 years ago ?

… do you maintain the same level of hatred and unforgiveness to the millions of her supporters ? Is there nothing they can do which will allow you to forgive them ?

Fair coment about her being a different person.

However, her supporters “her party, industrialists, and bankers” continue to shaft the people of this country.
    Why do they deserve anything?

    Fair summary?

Homosexuals have always been able to marry in this country.
In fact, it has generally been encouraged, particularly in the institution of which the OP originally complained (the Conservative Party).

Edit: but fair summary too atlaz

OK, put it this way. The contracting offer has just been withdrawn, are you gutted?
You don’t need more time to make your mind up, you just need to have some confidence in your own mind.

Sancho, this seams to be a classic case of bad management and confusion between efficiency and effectiveness.
As a country, we need a more effective NHS to look after the health of the people.
Aiming for a more “efficient” NHS implies you are looking to create time/cost savings, to take out of the health system. Is this as profits for the management subcontractors? Fair enough, there will be winners, but it does not improve the NHS for the future. We have a growing population with growing needs for this service, so effectively it will be reduced.

TBH, it looks like the probationary period is serving its purpose. Its allowed you to discover what you don’t enjoy about the job.
Now you’ve had your meeting, it may be fair to give them a week to surprise you, but probablly time to put the plan B feelers out. Let some contacts know you could be available soon, your company will be doing something similar knowing you are not happy.
And that’s the crux of it, if you are not happy then you have nothing to lose from moving and everything to gain. Just do it right (sounds like you are). and good luck.

I’d like two wives please. Bigamy should be legalised now.

Weymouth’s a good kids beach. Nice sand , and the slope is really shallow with small waves so there’s no worries. Its quite protected/sheltered. Pretty close to some hills too. Some of the beaches along dorset drop off quite steeply, and waves can be about 4 ft so can be a bit much for the little ones, but IME Weymouth’s most kid suitable.

A little bit further out, but got married here and it was great. All in one venue, with a barn style. Worth a visit to have a look because the reality is better than the website. They have weddings most weekends so Friday evening/ Sat mornings a good time to see how it sets up. http://www.bespokehotels.com/hotel/pages/talbotinn/home.htm

A law should reflect what’s right, not just “the reality of day to day life”.
Actually I think laws are supposed to represent what the majority feel is appropriate for the times, since right and wrong are pretty hard to define and are a bit subjective.

Fair enough, Coffeeking, right and wrong can be subjective but your “what the majority feel is appropriate for the times” seems reasonable.
This is different to “the reality of day to day life” though. My point was that changing laws to accomodate things purely because they are “the reality of day to day life” is madness, and not a coherent argument for same sex marriage to be legalised. I’m not arguing against it, just feel that this sort of nonsense does more to harm a cause than help it. For the record, this came from my coment above:

Well it aint legally at the moment but it should be. Not heard one single person say why it should not be.
That’s a good point, but to be honest, not heard why it should be either.
If you want to change the status quo, then that’s the more important argument that needs to be clarified.

Which crankboy replied to with an excelent explanation

he status quo was that male homosexuality was illegal and lesbians did not exist.
We have moved on to recognising the sexuality of a significant percentage of the population and outlawing discrimination based on sexual orientation.
If we are truly to follow through with this civilised and morally right transition then same sex couples deserve to have exactly the same rights to public and legal recognition of their relationships as couples who happen to be of different sexes. IE if they are equal then they have an equal right to marry and should not be given a fudge of a legal status that’s sort of the same but has a different name. Was not the motto of racial segregation “equal but separate” and we all no how much fun that was.

Like I said above, not really an issue I prioritise following, and the news (and the political point scorers on here) tend to coment more on the people involved (and their quest for votes) than the actual argument. Thats why I thanked crankboy for actually explaining that argument better than I’ve heard .
I don’t understand your point though. A law should reflect what’s right, not just “the reality of day to day life”. All crimes are a part of day to day life, but there’s no reason to change the law to accomodate them.

    Thanks crankboy.
It’s not an issue I’ve followed much, so whilst hearing about people being on one side or the other of “the argument”, rarely do I read what the argument actually is.

    clubber,
I disagree. Aluminium frames are now cheaper than quality steel frames to produce. This is the major reason for their predominance.

The other reasons stem from marketing rather than engineering.
It is a complete fallacy about the stiffness of aluminium.
Steel is both stronger and stiffer than aluminium. The key to aluminium frames’ percieved stiffness is the tube diameter, not the material.

edit: just read the posts between, and pretty much agree with what they’ve already said

kaesae, interesting post. Who’s to say thay humanity is all moving in the same direction?
Cultures and societies vary greatly, and diferent traits and values will be succesful in different ones. Your idea of “consious devolution”, if it is possible, may not be all encompassing.
Can a species diverge into two or more by evolution, if different groups in different locations go in different directions?

Credit card bills can be used as proof of purchase, can’t remember exactly where I read it but I do remember seeing news showing it as a legal precedent. You need to stay calm but firm tommorow, you are in the right. good luck

Biggest considerations should be rights of way, land owners permision and any legal responsibilities you create for yourself by publishing them for others.
Do what Trimix suggests for an easier option.
