Nothing will officially change or be mandated until October half term, we like to have to deal with big crises, not nip them in the bud at an nearly stage.

No requirement for close contact isolation.
No requirement for close contact testing.
    No requirement for asymptomatic testing.
We’re doing our best to avoid finding any problems until hospital admissions and deaths.

Not allowing for any thickness to your walls.
That’s “external”, if that makes sense.
Any thickness to your walls and the clear opening won’t be 1420.
That’s a different calc, depends exactly what you’re trying to achieve.
Or cut the entrance at a 45 degree angle back into the square, maybe.

The winter lockdown was a result of the summer policy.
About six months for that to come home to roost.
About enough time to distract sight of “cause and effect”.

Repeat, and blame the next new variant.

We were told case numbers are irrelevant now: it’s all about reducing deaths.

Deaths are rising. 123 yesterday. Highest since march.

    Conveniently forgotten.

Back up 7 , Lawes it is then. Current form, why not?

Would actually do the smash a fly half bit quite nicely.
Beirne can do the jackally poachy bit.

Actually think Faletau is better bench BR cover than an out and out 7 overall. Could do a decent enough job anywhere. Would like a proper lock though.

If only Johnny may was in the squad.

Playing with data to try and make sense of the recent downturn in cases…

    My thoughts, without data…

A reverse in national attitude to testing intent.

Tests were being used to find covid and reduce transmission. Symptoms would mean a test and isolation. People tested because they thought they could have it.

More tests now are being used to access social life. So people are testing when they think they don’t have it, tests to show they’re clear. And with lesser symptoms after jabs, some are avoiding tests when they might have it to avoid isolating with holidays and other socials booked.
“Pingdemic” language has redefined the problem as having to isolate, not having covid.

Not since his move back to Ireland.
Henderson s a lock that covers 6. Beirne is a six that covers lock.

Porter’s earlier injury looks a massive loss now. Genuine international quality scrummager on both sides.

Lots of leadership to come on in Owens, Murray, Farrell. Really looks like blast into a lead then try to see it out.

    Just paid for a month.

Team looked like we’re trying to blast them of the park first half, but got to Worry about the scrum in the second half. As well as mako, there’s the second row.
Awj can’t be 80 minute fit. And they’ve got Beirne as lock cover. He’s not played a minute there on tour, never locks down on the tight side, and is really too lightweight, especially against the boks. Great at 6, not a tight scrumming lock. The “leaked” team looked better with Henderson there. Of the two, rather they left him on the bench and drop one of Byrne or Watson cos they’re both effectively back row cover. I know Lawes is in there and could shift across, but if he’s doing the job he’s picked for at 6 then he’d be too knackered anyway. Good job Maro plays 80 minutes most games. If the boks knobble him early we’re shafted.
I guess they had to add another back to the bench with henshaw, biggar, and Hogg all coming in off knocks. Hope we’re not hanging on with 14 at the end

I think it’s hatred of Johnson and the Government that is causing some blinkered thinking here. Take a step back – is what they are suggesting really that outrageous?

    Not at all.
He’s a lovely man, and so are his friends, but he’s got this very wrong.
    So have you.

    Two out and out sevens.
Maybe they’ve had a tip off that were going Watson Curry for 7 and 8

So you agree about mako and Simmonds, and your other two are Curry and Murray – both world class big game players. Ok

    Its a really weird selection

Does that mean not enough Scots?

Saw his selection and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s got 13 out of 15.

Loose head and eight he’s gone for English flair, mako and Simmonds, where I reckon garland will go for more grunt, but if awj is fit enough then it might just be pretty close.
No one’s really nailed 1 and 8 as their own yet, garland more likely to go with Faletau and which ever prop they decide has best scrum chance- WJones or Sutherland.

Upto about an hour, just drink well before and after.
Over about an hour and a half, I have a small belt with 250ml soft bottle. I try to hold back until about half hour from finish, then it really helps.
Around three hours, vest with two soft bottles.

I think he’s playing it quite well, he’s let them dig a bigger hole for themselves and dropped some hand grenades in.

Drip feeding is the only way you’ll damage them.If at all.

The thing is, he can’t replace the government.
But he is, effectively, replacing the opposition. Starmer becomes less relevent by the day.
    And, ironically, BJ’s position strengthens.

The Conservatives will sometimes join in with the moaning about all this, but their self-interest lies with placating, not regulating, the City. It would be nice if they did something, but it’s no good expecting that. So we’ll have to wait for Labour to regain its capitalist mojo and remember how to work in its own self-interest.

Privately educated multi-millionaire David Mitchell’s big political plan is do nothing and wait.
    Inspirational stuff.

Hope Wimbledon can take a lead and find way to let her play without the damaging media stuff.

Comes down to lack of opposition.
Even Cummings has now been more openly critical of the government’s actions over the last year than Mr “I support the government” Starmer.
He’s lead the labour party into irrelevance.

The only way to do it is to reopen them all at the same time, to stop the few getting swamped, as others have said.

We have two park runs in our town, within less than a mile of each other.
Would be far better here if they did just reopen one of them. Then, those that want to run round with a couple of hundred others have got somewhere to do it. And those that can’t – still shielding, vulnerable, can still use a safe outdoor space on a Saturday morning. To take both parks seems selfish now. Park use has changed over the last 15 months, and for some vulnerable people, their other options are very limited.

I actually think the sacking makes sense. It’s not bad for her.
It removes the association between her and stammer, so she’s cleaner and fresher for WHEN he goes.
    And it won’t be long.

Henshaw has a good chance to start and is better at 13 than twelve. Always plays there when Aki is in the side, back to their Connacht days.
I’d back Russell, Aki, henshaw over that tj midfield.

Agree 6 will be a Beirne style player. Matches SA a bit so they don’t get steamrolled.
Also looks like he’s taken enough locks and br, and flexible backs, to give the option of a 6-2 split bench.

Can someone explain to me why Man Utd don’t seem to be getting any kind of sanction for Sunday’s antics? Surely they should be getting points docked at least.

Premier League/ Sky sports cartel support the protests. Even encouraged them.
Euro Super League threatened their pie.
