I find a few short quick runs in the days before help my legs.
They sometimes seem to start at the pace they finish their last run, so slow running feels counterproductive in a race build up.

At our kids BMX, those that have shin pads mostly seem to have combined knee and shin guards. Fox and leatt seem popular

Give yourself the week off with the kids for half term.
Call it half term – try to treat it like a break. Plan to start up again Nov 1st.

Night cramps was the first major symptom of me getting covid last month.

You can get other race BMX cranks in all the kids sizes that use the two piece hollow spindle system like Shimano but they’re all at least a hundred quid more, and usually out of stock.

Used shenfield. Was £6 parking, 10.20 to excel and back, and pretty quick into Stratford.

Dk are good light bikes and source is a decent shop with good reputation.
I’ve had good luck on eBay getting them second hand but didn’t see much on there at the mo.
If you do go new from source, MOORE10 gives ten percent off everything Inc sale this weekend from an email they sent me.
New should come with a front brake, but they’re not much good.
