cctv is one thing, but detaining and taking photo of a minor is not within shop security remit.

    jeez, they are expensive!

tbh my 52t compact died a death last autumn. I got a sub compact r8000 for very cheap and thought i’d try. I can always buy a 52t if I dont like it.

@funkydunc – I used a site called cellmapper.com It shows the nearest towers and which bands/frequencies and possible speeds they require – also which networks they are open to.

I’m very lucky in that I live literally on one side of a valley and have many masts in range. Quite unexpectedly the cell tower I receive the strongest/fastest signal from is approx 12 miles away!

Theres one less than 3 miles away but due to its orientation the speeds I got were pants. As I say i’ve got from a 17mbps down and 1mbps up to ~70 down (on average, ive had this as high as 98 and low as 60) and a consistent 30mbps upstream.

I paid 150 for the dish but am free from line rental and the SIM is a fiver a month less than my BT bill was – speeds are literally 4-5 faster!

For those interested I took the plunge and went for it, now getting 90mbps down and 40 mbps up!

I live relatively out in the sticks too!

all helppful stuff thanks. Think I’ll bite the bullet and go for the 32 then.
Defo needs to be unlimited myself and partner can get through quite a lot of data some months I also can’t be bothered with climbing a ladder to swap SIM cards in my dish too often.

    Cheers

oh and for extra peace of mind for wobbling etc, I wrapped one of the Mrs hair bobbles round the light and clamp.

@cupoftea – the switches on 2 of them and water (somehow) inside the body of a 3rd.

Mostly road commutes with full mudguards. Its a bit crap really because in terms of rear lights they’re really bluddy good.

Went exacrlt as you did from TRP to 105 hydro – admittedly on different bikes. NIGHT AND DAY difference. 105 has easily as much power and modulation as I am used to on a MTB. The Spyre’s suffered in the wet – most commutes. 105 not an issue at all.

    Go for it

Will be fine, Ive got a schwalble G one thats more repair than tyre at this point with nearly 1k miles on. Holds air fine tubelessly.

cut an old tyre into patches, epoxy them to the inside bang job done, works with tubeless too!

I use old worn out tyres, cut then into “patches” and use a cheap epoxy to repair sidewalk damage (glued internally) works great 100% success rate and 100’s of miles on still airtight!

not intended to be so what-so-ever, more of an aside – after all were on a cycling website and this is relevant in that context. Not militant in the least, how people choose to live their lives is none of my business/concern.

none as of three years now, managed to cycle about 18,000 miles since then with no noticeable determent to speed/recovery.

@jekkyl – the poor thing literally ran into my front wheel on a long straight flat, doing between 20-25 at the time, nearly threw me over the bars. Dread to think what would have happened had I been going down hill at a higher speed!

I love squirt lube, Ride approx 100 up 200 miles a week during the summer and it works amazingly well for me. tend to reapply every 7-10 days.

lots of experience with these, have used for ages on daily commute and big all day rides. Personally find them more comfy than similarly priced DHB’s. I ride about 300 days a year in them and a pair tend to last 12 months to a year for me/ For the money there’s nothing better.

Cheers guys, thanks for the replies all appreciated. I’ll look into it. I’ve actually returned the original pack to Torchy nearly a month ago and have heard nothing back despite several emails. Hopefully will get in touch soon.

I’m from an area of the north that the Tories absolutely decimated in the 70’s and 80’s. Tens of thousands of people forced out of work because of privatization. I hate them.

I currently have (I think) the folding All Round version of the G ones. As I said I have gotten them to seal fairly easily, but they are just so thin, anyone with experience reccomend a better compound of this tyre?
