You can join Brechfa (The Raven) and The Gorlech into 1x mahossive ride, and if you’re a real man/woman, you’ll go and do some laps of Cwm Rhaeadr ➡

Yeah, just get a SRAM GXP BB, £15 when the bearings go, get a new kit like wizzzz said, if you ring mbbearings, and speak proper nice to them, they will supply you the same kit.

The SRAM BBs can suffer ‘creaking’ it’s not your axle, it’s the bearings creaking in the cups as they Loctite them in the cups. I removed them, cleaned the Loctite with acetone and greaded and pressed them back in, no creakage.

I’ve just taken receipt of a payment demand from Canyon, and I have no idea what it’s for. It looks like they’re updating their books as this one is automated, but now they’re getting a little threatening with ‘Legal Action’

Too cheap, they need to be carbon or sintered moon dust, next!

    1. **** out with drift.

    2. Vice using old bearings (1 side at a time, mind)

    3. Bosh… as they say.

I slap it on the smallest sprockets and make sure the chain doesn’t rub on itself when passing through the mech.

Don’t bother with all the crap methods given here. Just put a bit of air in and this will give you enough friction to stop it rotating. I am a Doctor so obviously you can’t trust me.

    KS do 150mm, 30.9 posts.

Seen that, but it’s quite a few beer tokens, and it’s yet another post to add to the ever growing collection.

I think there were reliability issues with the 30.9 150, even more so than usual with the Reverbs. With all the reliability and warranty issues, I can’t understand why the Reverb 360 isn’t out yet, they must have invested heavily in tooling.

They were out a while ago, so they must have addressed it by now, and surely, there’s a market for it? I wanted to go for a Capra just for the 150 drop but other factors compelled me to cough up for the Strive, and the 30.9 was a consideration.

I have the parts to make a 30.9mm one.

    What parts are required, Rick?

    Can I bastardize a 31.6 150 and a 30.9 125mm to create a 30.9 150 Frankenpost stylee?

    Or do I need a 31.6 150mm and get a 30.9 430mm outer?

RS are supposed to be re-releasing the 30.9 in 150 at some point.

    Oooooooh…

I’m partial to a WTB Volt after suffering using a GOBI. But unfortunately, it’s a buy and try thing.

I tried WTB, SDG Fizik and Charge non of which seemed any good but the WTB is the best by far.

Yes, you will die without one, especially on a 29er.

You’ll make a few beer tokens, at best. That’s all I got for my brake tool. Unless you think that 90% of bikers will want this product, then there just isn’t the money in it these days.

As a Mechanical Engineering Grad with a 1st, I drilled a carbon SB66, took to Alps, twice. Broke wheels. Not dead.

With the ridiculously stupid saving you can make on a full build, buy the bike, flog the BOS (I wouldn’t tho) and buy some FOX and wonder why you bought the FOX in the first place.

I’d have a Capra but no XL in carbon, and carbon is everything, right? Right.

Purdy gud as a rear with a Hans up front. Used in Chamonix, no loss of pressure, punctures and it lasted quite well. I had a Mary to slap on the front with the Hans up the rear should the heavens have opened, but they hadn’t for 3 weeks so it was bone dry.

Of course! The highway code doesn’t apply as I don’t pay road tax.

It’s really just a 3 setting Low speed compression adjuster. Means you can set it on the fly. If you’re doing a lot of berms, it might be best to leave it in ‘trail’ mode as this will allow your bike to sit in its upper part of the travel rather than diving into all its travel in high G turns.

Yeah, I would have thought with their pending world domination, they would have a better website to serve 99% of their sales.

They provide more power, modulation, don’t heat as much and are lighter due to less anodizing.

Patches are only a temporary fix. Replace with a new one as soon as and submit to the fact MTBing will drain your bank account if you want to do it properly.

If you speak to where you got it from very nicely, they may honour the warranty with RS as they are prone to this happening. They are usually replaced with the latest iteration but as it’s so old they may just repair it.
