With the blind taken out, does the dog leg go fully back? I have these at home and initially mine wouldn’t go in but think it was down to poor alignment with the blind.

Anyone else had the new rates sent through from their supplier?

Shell have just sent for the SW

    Elec S/C – 58.28p
    Elec Unit – 32.788p
    Gas S/C – 29.11p
    Gas Unit – 10.517p

    Anyone on a better deal?

As above no help with the smart meter when it stops communicating.  Mine had a firmware update which stopped it from sending data and took a power cut to get it going again.

I’ve got 68 plate 1.2 5008 and just had the belt changed under warranty as the light came on. Apart from that and the sunroof leaking all has been good.

Mine only got fully diagnosed when I couldn’t keep anything down and got jaundice. The first attempt to unblock the duct caused internal bleeding which resulted in spending a couple of weeks in hospital on a zero fat diet/nil by mouth until after a few attempts to unblock again result in a stent being fitted which would give enough recovery time to have the gallbladder op. Op was schedule to take 2 – 3 hours but mine went on for just over 6 as the thing decide to burst on the table. Fully recovered now but tend to stay away from meat that is over 15% fat and avoid cheesecake as my body doesn’t like it.

Enjoy having the camera down the throat if they suggest this. Worst pain for me was having the bile duct scrapped out whilst not being ‘out’ of it.

Rung local suppliers and they couldn’t beat 76ppl with cheapest being getting them down to 80ppl. The tenner knocks off the excessive service charge but can’t grumble with delivery expected on Monday.

If anyone is interested Boilerjuice have a £10 off code (BFRI10EL) available today for new (use a different email) customers. Was going to hold off but as it’s dropped to 76ppl thought it was worth topping up 500l which would see us through the winter.

Very timely as I’ve just got a car that has AA but my Nokia’s running 11 (connects but drops straight away) and 12 (doesn’t work) have issues with Nokia’s supplied cables so would also be interested if it starts working with a new cable that others have had success with.

Move on now, leveling up, getting on with the job: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-61717478

It’s interesting that Sir Graham Brady is an MP for the area this goes through and was against the route and this was cancelled 30 mins before the results. It all stinks as the BBC have edited the article to remove his name now.

Got mine today. Came in a Garmin refurbished box with cable and looks like new. Happy days.

I’ve taken a punt as bought renewed before from Amazon and apart from some ‘history’ in the data on the device everything was as new.

Been billed so will see if this one turns up 😉

Just fitted a Solar iBoost. I put a smart thermometer on the tank so can see that it’s doing its job.

Try using the Loop Energy app to see if that can connect to your smart meter. Least you’ll know if it’s a connection issue or just the supplier that is rubbish(like mine)

I take my two to school on my bike with the 3 year old sat up front in a weeride and the 6 year old sat on a seat on the cargo rack.

Surprisingly I can be at the school gate at the same time as parents who live on the same street who drive their kids to the school!

I’m local to them and they do seem to stand out more on the landscape at the moment with being lower and more full bodied but would say they are not an eyesore. There’s a couple of sections where there are other lines in the path so going to be interesting on how they route the cables.

It’s a shame that all the infrastructure they are putting in like the access roads are going to be temporary as it would make a great cycle route through the county.

Wish I did live in Balmoral but I just don’t think Shell know what they are doing. It’s interesting that people are having different tariff amounts being given.

Initially Shell sent over the Flexible 6 tariff in October for Standing charge (per day) of 25.66p
and Unit rate (per kWh) of 21.607p which is different to yours.

The latest from Shell I’ve been given…
Your Economy 7 electricity rates will change from 27.040p to 33.549p per kWh for your day rate and 10.700p to 17.208p per kWh for your night rate. Your standing charge per day will change from 25.75p to 51.70p.

I’ve got a Smart meter being installed next week as they said they can only bill me on a single rate tariff if I have one installed even though Pure Planet was billing for single rate. I’m going to hazard a guess that this will all go wrong, especially when the first bill turns up and it’s something completely different. Any negatives to cancelling the Direct Debit so they can’t take the wrong amount?

For people on Shell, could someone post up the rates they have been given for April? They’ve sent me E7 rates and want to see if it’s worth switching bit can’t find any details on the website.

One big mess up on Shell’s me thinks looking at the readings I’ve logged but no idea how they’ve managed to do it.

Just had my new tariff email from Shell.

Due to them screwing up the meter readings during the switch over they think my Annual Projection is £28,824 going up £10k to £38,973.

They so far haven’t sent me my first bill or taken any payments so should come down a few pennies when it’s corrected or have just given me the correct prices for October :S

Anyone moved from Pure Planet to Shell?

Think they’ve messed up the transfer as my personal projection is showing as £28,817 a year.

The price cap is a cap on a unit of gas and electricity, with standing charges taken into account. It is not a cap on customers’ overall energy bills, which will still rise or fall in line with their energy consumption. From 1 April the equivalent per unit level of the price cap to the nearest pence for a typical customer paying by direct debit will be 28p per kWh for electricity customers and 7p per kWh for gas customers

Wife put hair straighteners on ours after using them as she thought they would be safely away from setting anything else on fire then forgot to take them off after setting the stove alight. I found the remains outside the back door when I got home. Plastic burnt off in the end but left a mark, left it as it was to remind her not to do it again….

Week later, found the replacements outside as she thought they would be safer on the induction hob. Cables melt very quickly on rings that get turned on.

I’ve got an AC isolator and then into the fusebox on it’s own RCBO.

I’ve got 250/275w panels. They had a warehouse full of new and used panels but went with the new panels they had. They had loads of seconds 195w panels that had been taken off houses after a couple of years.

Lots of reviews about the ebay and amazon ones on youtube so worth doing some research but you can find one ebay one’s like these if they suite your budget.

I’ve just done this. I have two setups.

    1. 1.2kw system of 5 panels and micro inverter on the garage roof with an angled frame pointing South.

    2. 1kw system of 4 panels and micro inverter on single extension pointing southwest

I managed to find a local company that had excess stock from installing panels for housing associations so picked them up for £40 each and inverters where £150 each. With everything, it comes to just under 1k but looking at getting an iBoost for the immersion at some point. Best I’ve had out of the system around 4.5kwh on a sunny day so is working and hasn’t burnt anything down yet.

Don’t think they are in breach according to that website as it states

In order to avoid allegations from consumers that they have been misled, the supplier’s standard terms of business should set out the contractual process and make clear at what point the legally binding contract will be formed.

    Garmin’s conditions for sale state
2.3 Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between us will take place when we send you an email confirming that the products you have ordered are being shipped to you, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have already cancelled it.

One for the legal bods on here but don’t think it would be worth the effort to fight

I ordered on Xmas day and paid on my credit card via PayPal with the payment taken straight away and order is still processing with no cancellation email received yet. Odds on getting anything from Garmin seem slim at the moment.

The most expensive and technological advanced fighter aircraft and they don’t have a sensor for the air intake covers. Shocking.

Life would have been simpler if it was about Bingo.

Some good replies, shame if true about his dad that the BBC didn’t mention expand on the father as this would have given the story a bit more depth or that Sky’s background checks didn’t pick this up as it would have been something that might have been watchable.

Go to NCT with loads of questions and ask. You’ll be in a group of people who have no idea and hopefully make some friends in the process to help get through the process when the dirty nappies start.

For those using Hue system then this switch is compatible and gives you the option of keeping your existing bulbs.

I’m using it in the bathroom to control the GU10’s and Extractor fan with an Hue Smart button.

I would wait to the kid is older to have them in the front middle when they can sit in a booster chair. We moved ours into the back as she thought it was funny to kick my arm or try and pull the gear stick out whilst driving.

Rear seats can be individually collapsed so you can put some big items in with kids still in the back. I can get a medium size dog in the boot and the other half filled up with bags.

I’ve got the 2.2 Diesel 2009 exec model been faultless apart from the drivers window button breaking (common problem if pressed too hard).

Middle front doesn’t have ISOfix in mine and you will need to slide the seat back which takes the middle back seat out of action.

Massive inside for a relative small car with plenty of seat options to put kids and bikes in.

The sliding doors need to have a couple of cm’s clearance above the frame to hang them and for allowing for clearance of the outer slide door top cover (this is not mentioned in the measurements online). Floor to ceiling of 240cm should be ok.

£25 win on £101 investment here.

Guess I’m pretty lucky as I’ve had a decent 7% return with a win each month when I had 10k invested.

We bought our current house through PB. The local agent was just the key holder (never got the key back when we moved in) and just opened the door and sat on the sofa whilst we looked around. Putting an offer in online was simple and then once accepted PB just made it clear that we dealt directly with the sellers which was probably the best thing they did.  After that they played no further part.  We decided to go with their conveyancers (Premier Property Lawyers) who out of all the conveyancers in the chain were the best hands down and pushed to get things moving when others were stumbling.

Selling our property we used a local bricks and mortar Estate Agent who offered an online package that was cheaper than PB and co so might be worth ringing around seeing what they offer.
