I find that the OMM or Decathlon or Innovate bags fit quite nicely – always found the camelbacks a bit too long.

Trails graded for women is a bit patronizing IMO.
If there is something I don’t like the look of riding then I won’t – I like my teeth where they are and do not feel the urge to try to compete with more competent riders – both female and male – I know my limitations. Been out today with two blokes and we did see a number of ladies out riding – one lady did catch the eye of the guys when she started doing her stretching exercises in a low cut cropped top (rolls eyes!). WSD bikes and ladies clothing has come along in leaps and bounds to encourage ladies to ride.
Maybe the marketing of mountain biking in some of the magazines as adrenaline fueled sport with a macho undertone doesn’t help.

There has been a discussion about this already on roadcyclinguk. As far as I can see most of the cyclodelic stuff is fluorescent bands, belts to hold you bike lock in, bags, caps (which personally I quite like) and raincapes. I don’t have a problem with this as long, as Bunnyhop says, it encourages more ladies to get out on bikes. It isn’t aimed at “sports” riders – more the day-to-day commuter and leisure cyclist. Wear what you feel comfortable in and just get out no matter what type of bike/riding you do.

I have had the pearl izumi sugar 3/4 tights and initially got on with them but the pads went really thin vary fast. The best 3/4 tights I have at the moment are assos and sportful – not cheap but durable and long lasting with comfy padding.

Did we decide to east or west?
    And where/when are we meeting?

Have always been happy with both the service and flowers from M&S – just a shame I am always the person sending them never receiving them!!!

The main reservoir is the Portland sandstone which produces oil in the Brockham well just to the north. The Corallian sandstone is the secondary reservoir at a depth of about 4300ft. Potential hydrocarbon volumes have been calculated on a best estimate with a number of assumptions (porosity, oil saturation and only a 25% recovery factor).
Best estimates for Portland sst is 4.0MM bbl and 2.3MM bbl for the Coralian sst.
Basically there is a D&D obligation on this field which has to be completed by end of 2009.

The Yeti ASR (not the carbon one though) comes in an xxs – for 4ft8″ to 5ft.
And Titus certainly used to do the racer-x in xxs.

I have a bontrager race lite fit wsd saddle on my road bike which I have been happy with, so much so I fitted one to my cross bike and mtb. Other saddles that I have found comfy are the fizik saddles – the poggio and vitesse especially.

Sorry but I did get mine about 10 years ago for about £1500-ish.
If you go to a decent frame builder you will probably sit down with them and dicuss what you want from your bike, what you will be using it for and then you will get measured in order to get the correct frame size – it doesn’t matter if you don’t know your size, they should offer a measuring service anyway.
don’t forget it is your money and don’t agree to anything unless you are happy with it – if you go down the custom route then you want this bike to fit and last for years.
Look here for frame builders in the uk….
    http://www.framebuilding.com/custom_uk_bicycle_framebuilders.htm
Dave Yates, bob Jackson, Corrado, Argos – one of these is who I would look at.
I reckon/think you should be looking at about £700-ish for a 725 frame.

There are a number of women specific bikes out there – trek, bianchi, specialized, pinarello, cinelli, orbea, lemond, wilier etc etc but whether you will be able to get one with mudguard and pannier mounts is a different matter.
I am 5ft 3″ and opted for a custom built 725 touring bike from Andy Thompson so I was able to specify exactly what I wanted (mudguards and rack for touring) and what spec I wanted – in my case campag chorus (I have quite small hands and personally find campag suits my small hands), TA 165mm cranks and 3T Eva ladies bars (cinelli also do the littlewing ladies bars). Mine ended up being a 48cm frame with 700 wheels – if you go down the 650 wheels then you are somewhat limited in tyre choice. The 725 frame isn’t the lightest but it does ride light and the price of a 725 frame won’t break the bank account. You may be able to get some cross bikes that have mudguard/rack mounts but again finding one that fits you will be difficult – it was hard enough to find one small enough myself. What is your budget?

None of the three have been consistent this week – they have all been good at one point and then lose it in another challenge. I did want “ming” to win but now I am backing the young guy.

I tend to use marks and spencers – they arrive on your selected day, the flowers last for ages, reasonably priced and they tend to have a seasonal bouquet.

Sugoi do some decent liners – their baggy shorts/capris are designed such that the liners can be removed and worn under other trousers/shorts etc. I have the sugoi ricaro liner which I find rather comfortable.

Exactly how many pints did you have at the pub?
Good day out though. I think we ended up doing about 40-something miles in total which is a long way to go for a bagel 🙂

I wear Sidi dominators – the ladies version. I normally take a size 36 in normal shoes but take a 37 in both my sidi mtb and road shoes. I have the 2008 sidi dominator 5 but looking at the sidi website recently they also have a ladies version of the eagle shoe – try looking at sidicafe.co.uk
Shimano and Northwave ladies cycling shoes also go down to a size 37.

    The contestants always contain:
the mum who does “homely” cooking
    young inexperienced student cook
    bloke who does “british classics”
    the “fusion” cook
    late-30s arty type “experimental” cook

I couldn’t believe the vegetarian PE teacher who then cooked meat and couldn’t actually taste it or the guy who cooked cheese stuffed lamd again after it was slated the first time!

Not that I watch the program much!!!

The last perfume my SO bought for me was le b by Agnes B which is rather nice.
Other favourites are Clinique Happy, Happy in bloom, Estee Lauder Pleasures, Kenzo poppy or amour.
Don’t buy Rive Gauche though – smells like cats wee on whoever wears it.

Yup – went out for the 7.30am train this morning – returned home about 10mins later after my boss phoned me and said not to bother trying to get to work, watched an audi slide down the road, thinking about canceling my trip to Aberdeen tomorrow.

    Pah – no problem there!
