Haven’t crossover cables been redundant for years? I thought the router was smart enough to auto switch?

I’ve never had a problem. I’ve towed in moderate winds, just keep your speed down and I think you’ll be fine.

I think you can transfer the warranty, but we are planning to keep it for 10 years, so I don’t think it’s an issue.

I dunno how much a repair could cost…less than £1,500? Chances of a problem? Again, dunno, it looks like it’s been built by primary school kids, but it’s not leaked yet.

Don’t use a cheap online place…they show a low headline price to start with, then drill you for everything else needed to complete. I recently used a local solicitor (recommended by a friend) and she was hopeless. I’m now using BHW in Leicester….they are brilliant. Quick, responsive and include very readable explanations to clarify issues, so you don’t need much interaction with them. It’s not uncommon to have to pop in to see them a couple of times, so local is better IMHO.

You really won’t be glad saving money by using a poor online place…google it, once you start they have you by the balls.

So I’d choose somewhere local, but somewhere good :-)

+1 for what mudshark said. The other responses above are prefect examples why you should talk directly to Qdos / Bauer and Cottrel / equivalent and bypass the internet completely when asking for IR35 information.

To be fair, there is a possibility that he’s taken the time to listen to the systems, and decided it’s the best one. There is a also a lot of vested interests in the hifi mags.

This only reinforces the fact that if you want to make the best choice, there is no substitute for taking the time to listen yourself, and not rely on magazines or the internet for opinions.

I use 4G T-Mobile sim. It was cheap pretty cheap and the data connection is fast enough to use Skype for international calls. If you top up with more then 100USD the credit stays on for a year, otherwise you loose it after either a month (or 3?). I dunno about a GiffGaff equivalent though. I’ve found data connection much more important than calls when out there, but YMMV.

I think its a lot more likely Jambalaya is a recruiter for Hamas.

@waswas – not sure where that is but the town of Beit Hanoun was the source of the majority of the attack tunnels so they have pretty much flattened the whole place. It may well not be rebuilt which Israel will regard as a victory as it will be very hard to reconstruct the tunnels without the cover of the residential buildings.

Jesus, your more of a scumbag than I previously thought.

Just come off taking metronidazole for a dental infection…horrible stuff. I waited 48hours after last tablet and alcoholic drinks taste disgusting. I always thought that not drinking on antibiotics was BS, but with metronidazole, it’s a match made in hell.

Sorted the infection though :-) I spent a lot of time researching if I could have a drink less than 48hours after finishing, and having waited over 50, I’m very, very glad I didn’t chance it.

Hope you and your mouth feel better soon CG :-)

His show today was absolutely atrocious, even he sounded bored by it. He should move on…there must be plenty of people who would be happy to have a breakfast slot on 6 music and do something good with it.

On the plus side, Guy Garvey and Iggy Pop yesterday were class :-)

I live about 10 miles out of Nottingham, and I’ve got a mate who lives in Derby, so been for a few nights out. TBH I haven’t noticed much difference between Derby and Nottingham. Derby looks like it’s got better in the last 15years, where as Nottingham has gone downhill in the last 15 years. I don’t think either city is amazing or terrible, if anything they are both a bit bland. Both cities have some decent restaurants and sometimes get decent bands playing, I think Nottingham is probably better for music than Derby.

Beeston is OK as an area, I don’t think it’s good enough to make me want to commute to Derby…there must be similar area’s in Derby?

I’d prefer Sheffield to both Nottingham and Derby as a city, but there is no way I’d want to do that as a commute by car.

If you stayed in Derby last time, you could try Nottingham to see if you like it better. Avoid St Annes, Senenton, Basford, Bullwell, Meadows, Clifton (not a complete list ;-))

I got some Sony XBA-C10 XBA IEM’s and they are very, very good. They are Balanced Armature, so they aren’t for bass fiends, but they are very open sounding and amazing for the money. You might have to be careful to make sure you don’t get fakes.

We bought a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130 Kayak. It’s a 2+1,(our three year old can just about go in the +1, but you couldn’t go much bigger.) It’s great in the sea, very stable and seems to go quickly.

It’s not massively easy to get on the roof of a car, even with two people, and I don’t think a single person could do it without risking damage. Once on there, you can’t fully open the boot. It weighs c.30kg, so needs two adults to portage.

Storage is not trivial either (I believe you can deform the hull if you don’t store it correctly).

If I’m honest, I wish I’d bought a single seater, and hired two seaters when needed. It’s great when in the water though :-)

Pretty much the rest of the Arab world have decided to “move on” from conflict

I’m sure the Palestinians would like to ‘move on’, but you’ve been killing their women and children while they shelter, taking their land, their water, their means to generate power, their dignity, their right to move freely.

That kind of thing tends to leave people a little sour.

I’ve never used wingbars, but for aerobars, if the bar is too wide, you can’t use them, as there is a limit to how far the feet can slide into the centre of the bar. If you google “thule aerobars underside” and look at the first image, it should become clear!

We have had 3 Dysons + handheld, and apart from the DC01, they have been rubbish. The amount of times I have to take them to bits to get it sucking properly is ridiculous. A classic example of a brand marketing something as well designed, rather than designing it well.

The tools from the first two Dysons don’t work in the newer vacuums either…they are fractionally different in size :-(.

I think the whole bagless thing is cack too, especially if in the case of the DC50 you have to empty the cylinder twice per room. We end up putting it a bag anyway, otherwise every time you open the wheelie bin it all blows out.

    Next cleaner will be Sebo.

3 billon USD per year on military aid from the US to Israel, so I guess relatively speaking, they are pretty poor.

And the smiley face at the end of your post….you must be some atrocious human being to treat this situation as an opportunity to play gobshite tennis.

I work for a smallish US company. They just farm out payroll to a UK based company that deal with everything, so to me it just looks like I work for a UK based company. My salary was agreed in sterling, so I think the company I work for are just told how much money to transfer each month to cover tax and NI and what I’m paid.

I don’t know if it’s common in the US, but the company I work for (c. 80 employees) are keen on farming out payroll / expenses / non core admin type stuff to third parties, and generally, it seems to work OK.

There is an alternative I used that’s a standard building product for repairing roofs which is similar to dynamat. it’s cheap and available from somewhere like Wickes. I can’t remember what it’s called, but I used it years ago and it worked OK at stopping some resonance in the door panel.

If you google the car forums it should turn up the info you need.

I had a pair years ago, I think I had them about 8-10″ out from the back wall. I quite liked them, they are much better actively driven. The biggest problem I found is that the tweeter is quite low, which I was not too keen on. £180 seems a decent deal, I think they ended up at about the £1000 mark new (Not that that means anything). I’ve no experience w/109’s, so I can’t help w/direct comparison. The Keilidhs are quite lean sounding unless driven well.

The AE109’s appear to have lots of ports…have you tried plugging some of them w/socks to see if this helps control them?

I worked with a lady from Cadishead who made a pretty straight proposition in the stairwell at work “Would you like to come round this weekend?…the only time my boyfriend f^^^s me is when his mates come round to watch”

I was to intimidated to take her up on the offer, but it still gives me a twitch in the pants.
