The interface on any tablet is never as good as playing a real instrument or dedicated groovebox or whatever. That’s most likely the reason. It’s good to touch and feel your instrument (no sniggering at the back please).

With only USB midi you’d maybe need something like a Kenton Midi through box to connect to a lot of synths out there. You’d need that for the Circuit.

Does his piano have midi compatibility? If yes maybe get him something like a Novation Circuit which is a drum machine, sequencer, two synths and basic effects in one ‘groove box’. He wont need a second keyboard but the circuit would give basic composition ability and synthesis possibilities. The Circuit can sequence the piano and the piano can be used to play the synths on the Circuit. FTW!

Sorry Supernova, I think I’m getting dumbbots ones. If that falls through, for whatever reason. I’ll give you a shout. Thanks for the help.

Hi chaps. I’ve found the push set and indicated my interest… If that doesn’t work put would the manitou set work. I’m a bit of a newb and spinning with matching the parameters.

My dad used to work on a farm owned by the current guardian of the Union of South Africa. A sister train of the Mallard. He maintained a small spur on the farm and run a puffer on it most Sundays up to the early 90s. Google Lochty Railway, Fife. We got shots up the front.

I’ve got one of these and fixed leeks three times. Twice it was the door but the one you’ve described is a corroded cold water inlet valve. Easy and cheep to replace.

A little devils advocacy: in 2017 I had a torrid time. I had 5 suicidal friends, one of those followed through. I also ended up at 4 other funerals. I opened my arms to each suicidal friend and was always there to listen even in the middle of the night. The weight of all that had me feeling the same way – I’d forgotten to look after myself. I didn’t even get PN my bike much that year. It was all hard work and heavy vibes. I had to make changes, including creating an exit strategy from a great job but one which involved supporting staff, volunteers and service users through their hard lives.

I’m much healthier now ànd ready to help folk bear a burden once again. I’ll just be careful to watch my own mood first. That is my advice to all – look out for people but yourselves first.

Cheers guys. This is good upgrade fodder. I’ve got the local bike mech on the look out too. I’ll update when I get something sorted.

Take the cash and buy yourself time to look after your son. Give yourself a break and focus on the family.

I’m not being deliberately flippant here but he could consider micro-dosing on magic mushrooms. I know 3 folk that have helped themselves out of similar situations by doing so.

Exactly what Del said. You’re utterly entitled to tell him your concerns but play it cool. It sounds more like he needs help than a hiding.

Many times. First by a teenage girl when I was four ‘comparing bits’, next when I was 14 I was a KP and regularly had the bosses mum run her hands up my legs and feel my bum. Then several occasions being felt up on bum and balls in pubs and clubs by women and men. The last one was outside a gig a few years ago when q stubbly fat dude tried to snog me.

I’m not that bothered. For a 6’6″ skinny dude I’ve got a really nice bum.

Gobuchul, i was talking about society in general. As a species we can’t seem to get enough glamour. It’s that phenomenon that put MJ where he was. If you’ve never fallen head over heels for a celebrity or glamorous product then kudos to you.

Cats have their problems. The noise pollution from the three neighbours’ yappy wee dogs is a bigger issue.

I was rooting for MJ. I thought he was a victim of celebrity. Then I watched half of the first episode and felt sick. He’s guilty. But so is society. We’re so easily glamoured. The parents of the children involved couldn’t see what was happening in front of them because they were so enamoured by the cult of celebrity. It’s a Sick society that made MJ what what he was. We’re all a little bit complicit.

I agree with the op but a society change is required and that will take a generation or two. I used to live in a cottage near the m8 where I was fortunate enough to be able to walk to work. On the walk home I used to laugh at the madness of all the single occupied cars stuck in a jam heading west in one carriageway and east in the other. Thousands of people heading from Glasgow to Edinburgh for admin sector jobs and thousands of people heading from Edinburgh to Glasgow for admin sector jobs. The mind boggles. Each driver determined to forge out a unique existence.

I now have a job in the city as social enterprise manager. I drive to work. Alone. i am Borg.

As others have said here tackling the causes of crime would be required to make a difference. Poverty is the real problem.

Fwiw: coming from a history of cheap hardtails a move to a Kona Shred seemed like massive step up. I’ll replace the forks because they’re soft and heavy but the geometry is good for me (6’6″) and I’ve had a lpt of fun on it.

I’ve never had sleep paralysis but I’ve been lucid dreaming since I was a kid. Dreams where I can control myself in flight are most common. I love them but
    they’re not exactly restive.

Did anyone mention that it’s impossible to point out the barbarism of the Israeli govt without being called anitsemitic? It’s a kind of censorship.
