The Sonder customer service was OK tbh. It was during early lock down when I was looking for a faster bike. Sunset Cycles were just a bit more precise with delivery details. I use it for commuting and long NCN rides. It’s about 12kg.

I said I’d come back and let you know how I got on with the speedwork. Great frame, great wheels, good geo, fast, wheels good, tyres great, breaks adequate… SRAM 1*12 is a total diva constantly seeking attention.

Buy a pizza on the way and just keep it warm in your bib shorts while you ride.

NickC – I ordered it from Sunset Cycles (great customer SERVICE) . A week later they sold out. They only ever seemed to stock XL versions. I’m not sure they’re available anywhere now. My first choice was Sonder Camino flat bar but they were even more elusive.

I got my 2020 model a couple of weeks ago. It’s a significant upgrade from any bike I’ve ever had so it’s easy to love. The HT will remain good for bouncing on the bings and Pentlands and the Orange perfect for commuting, long rides and trundles withe kids. It’s true that the drive chain and breaks might be a bit lightweight for DH play but they’re fine for a gravel bike. I got mine for £980 so, having done a rudimentary tot up of the component prices and the fact that it should hold value, I’m content with my purchase.

I was standing at the main crossroads in our town. With the 9yo and our bikes. A 40yo threw a half chewed toffee at me from a passing Astra. That was antisocial.

Independence with anything less than a 60% majority would be a bit pointless.

I’ve done this as sole trader. It’s dead easy. Self assessment once a year and no accountant required.

Exactly what cheezybeanz said. Sycamore is rubbish. Plant oak or Ash.

Had loads planned including a decent bike ride but it’s all been cancelled by other people. I’m feeling humpty.

Lovely at the time but they now sound dated to me.

Evans is rubbish. For example, took the 9yo to a shop after Xmas for new bike. Shop guy wouldn’t look at her never mind speak to her. Kept rolling his eyes when I asked questions. He was the manager and the shop was dead. Eventually he sold us a bike that wasn’t in stock.

I grew up in the east neuk and agree with the accounts here. It’s bonny, weirdly remote and since William was at St Andrews has been over run with toffs. It does have good music, art and food scenes. There’s very little mtb terrain. Kinghorn and Aberdour are good shouts.

STUMPYJON: glyphosate is horrendous and kills soil flora rendering it a dead aggregate. Go toe to toe with me on this if you like. I have plenty knowledge and experience to back this up.

If you want to be close to a doctor absolutely forget living in Poolewe or anywhere like it. Skye would be OK.

It’s 1ft of garden. It’s not worth the hassle. It’s probably worth a bottle of Lagavulin though.

You could drink it together, passing a quaich to and fro over the new boundary and watch for shooting stars together. You’ll cherish that moment and remain lovers for ever. The fence, and the notional boundary it represents, shall crumble and fade like the shooting stars.

I holidayed in Poolewe for a few years. It’s very pretty but your kids boredom will drive them to hate you forever.

Without a doubt the best place north of the Tay that matches your needs is Aviemore.

Consider Fife for anywhere South of the Tay. It has everything close to hand but also some seriously bonny neuks.

Consider the borders if you’re cool with Tories and endless rain.

Lavern is allowed coz I’ve fancied her since yoof. Idles are brilliant. Welsh lady can Gits coz the tone of her voice is hard to bear. Lurpak is too dull. Robinson should be on daily.

I opted to order this over a sonder Camino because it looks better, seemed vaguely similar spec, will fit better and Sonder were a bit short on customer service. I may be wrong about everything.

White eggs are a Kosheer thing. They’re easier to candle and therefore spot developing embryos. It’s a biblical health and hygiene thing like most of the kosher and halaal rules I reckon.

I’ve just ordered the 2020 Speedwork. Without a doubt it’ll be the most expensive, fastest and grown up bike I’ve ever had. We’re ditching a car too. 😎

    Cannae wait.
