What are these ‘savings’ and ‘overpayment’ of which you speak?
    (I understand ‘mortgage’)

Another vote for softshell. I’ve an endura event waterproof that I hardly ever wear, but a gore phantom that I wear practically every ride over autumn/winter/spring.

Teasel’s post above relates to the last time I led a few around there…..

That was real? I thought it was just a freakish nightmare ;-/

Well that’s weird. My pics are showing up when I view the thread on my ipad but give an unavailable message when I look on my computer. Can anyone else see them?

A can’t decide which of these to put in the group on flickr

The second one for me – I like the way the plane trails reflect the angles of the structure. God that sounded poncy 😉

    Kiwi fruit?

Yep – a slice placed over the top of the led light on the back of an iphone. A bit random but I’ve got a cracking hangover today and struggled to think of a photo to take.

I bought the D3100 in June as a first DSLR. I’m really pleased with it so far and have achieved miles better pictures than I could on my compacts. It’s a steep learning curve once you leave the comfort of the auto settings but well worth it. I used the stock 18-55 kit lens for a while, then bought a 70-300mm lens as I was taking quite a few sports shots of my son and needed a telephoto. I’ve also picked up a 35mm prime. I’ll probably add a wide angle lens but I’ve no intention of upgrading the body for a few years – it’s only held back by my lack of skills at the moment. Having the HD video is a bonus too. Having said all that, a bit of me wishes I’d added a bit of money to my initial budget and got the d3200 (didn’t want to stretch that far at the time as I didn’t know that I would start getting into it so much).

I bought the porlex one – great little grinder and gives you a satisfying feeling knowing you’re hand-ons with your coffee. For about 4 weeks. Then I bought a Dualit burr grinder because I couldn’t be arissed any more.

Yeah, well done Nobby. How dare you post about one thing and not something completely different. Beggars belief, it really does.
