I initially wanted a new monster, but I couldn’t get one last year so i test rode a few bikes and ended up buying a KTM. I know it’s not everyones cup of horlicks, but it is a lot of fun and good riding position for city stuff.

If i was going to buy another 600-800, I think i would test a Kawa verys, monster 696, BMW GS or the street triple.

No they shouldn’t do it. The Happy Mondays reunion (a much better band IMO)was a bit naff and a Roses reunion would be the same.

I always thought the roses were overatted in comparison to other bands at the time. I think they got lucky with the timing of their 1st album -with the whole summer of love vibe going on and the Spike Island thing.

I went to see them in a circus tent on Glasgow Green and they were dire.(although I was on a nice buzz at the time ) After the gig we met some Manc guys in the sub-club and had a good laugh with them & shared some drugs & told him how shit the Roses gig was & how much better Primal Scream & the Mondays etc were. It wasn’t until the week after when we returned to the sub-club that we found out it was the guys from the band we’d been sitting with. (ah memories of back in the day)

I find it strange and quite sad that people get so worked up by hating certain bands. Is it jealousy? Or an inferioty complex?

I’m not a fan of U2 , although I do like some of their stuff, but I sort of get why some might like them.

i ride it occasionally for a wee blast. I was up the other week and they’ve hardcored some of the paths. It only takes about 10mins to do a lap and can get quite boggy. but combine a few laps with some of the other off-piste trails, it will be good for you to see how your back is holding up.

There’s a few small jumps and a couple of logs, but they are optional.

without knowing the ins& outs, i don’t think the seller deserves -ve feedback. A week and a bit is reasonable time for ebay delivery.

However if he charged you for 1st class or his p&p conditions stated express delivery and sent you 2nd class instead, then maybe.

Day 1 Aviemore- plenty of natural stuff- drive over to Torridon in the evening.
Day 2 -Torridon- drive to Skye or Applecross in the evening.
Day 3 – Sky or Applecorss- drive to Fort Bill in the evening.
Day 4 – Fort William- Devils Staircase or similiar.

I think the orange is reasonably priced in comparison to offerings from other companies.

i’ve just ditched all my X-9/x0 SRAM stuff for XT. Although SRAM works slightly better in manky conditions ,XT seems more robust and better put together.
