They do work eventually, i hated mine for ages, but in the bad weather we have been having must of softened them or me up as they work really well now, i will still be changing them for some hayes stokers in a few months but thats just my preference.

My citroen is normally a great car, but the gear box is just plain dangerous in the snow, its one of those sensodrive with flappy paddles, so its missing a clutch pedal, and while its supposed to be semi-auto, unlike an auto you can't select the gear you want. To top it off the snow mode is a joke, does bugger all.

Haven't even bother to move the car in this weather, although have to go out tomorrow.

My other current vehicle is a Merc Vito, rear wheel drive (as i found out yesterday) but at least its heavy.

Not between Euston and MK, but across the midlands Solihull to Aston, no problems. Lots of cancellations when i got to New Street on the board if going south or north!

As for there website fookin useless!! i couldn't even log into it this morning, i could see no trains going past (i can see the railway line from my living room window) and wanted to find out when the first train ran, all i got was delays due to ice and snow, nss!!

I use a Philips 8000 series razor its a few years old, other half got it me for a christmas present a few years back, think it was one those boots half price at christmas offers. I don't have time to wet shave and supposed to be clean shaven for work every day so it does the job. The 3 disc blades last about 12 months if looked after and the battery charge still holds for about a month.

Only snag is if i use it every day, by dinner time i look like i haven't shaved at all, if i miss a day the next days shave is so much better for it.

Would recommend one of the new braun razors the higher end ones, had one for a week till i lost it somewhere, will be replacing when i get paid! think the other half pinched it for her legs, that was my second best chrimbo present this year!

Avoid the coolskin ones, mine is well **** but it is 8 years old, one of the first ones it just clogged up and then went all funny, had to clean it out with steri tablets, not nice.

My Bike was in the LBS for some work, so took the GF's XTC out for a spin, that nearly killed me, face plant serious concussion for about 4 weeks, over 20 stitches in my face and i looked fookin awful! does that count?

She claimed the bike was cursed and knew i wasn't its true rider, i dunno, just won't be riding that again.

Snow is great! just not the stuff we have been getting in birmingham, first it snows then melts then soddin freezes into black ice and it just becomes daft.

Would be nice to get a few feet of proper snow, instead of snow one day, freeze, rain then its all gone and snows again!

Non smoker here! never have, my other half does she blames it on work stress then wonders why she has no lung capacity when we go biking, half way up a hill she splutters and falls over (normally) she does give up for about a month every year but it doesn't last long. She always moans she has no money but finds money for her habit.

For me, i never thought about it, never wanted to try so never did, i do drink but just now and then, i like to have a clear head for sunday morning biking.

As said above you use the plug in ethernet adaptors, they plug into the mains power sockets, one at the home hub and the other at the BT Vision box, job done!

The two adaptors talk wirelessly to each other, you should have had 2 when the box was first fitted. If you didn't use them before they are probably in the box, unless you threw it out.

Vanity eh, ok then will share mine, my eyesight has got worse over the years. Started off wearing glasses for driving, then i got a prescription pair for biking, some nice oakleys. My normal glasses ive had to start wearing at home to play xbox or watch tele, especially in the evening as my eyes are tired.

I point blank refuse to wear them for work, i can get by without so i get by, everyone at work knows i don't wear glasses so i try not to, i even thought by moving location i could go in day 1 and just wear them but nope! i tried contacts but ended up with an infection, so i walk round work not seeing anything more than about 50m away!

I vow to break this next year! I know its daft as some the guys i work with i bike with and they know i never ride without my Oakleys!

It was about 50euro for the day, but that was a five years ago, i had to use the Hotel to verify me, but they were happy to do that. One of the Thompson Reps came along and verified, one of the perks of going Gold.

Tesco have a contractor to grit the car park, only snag is they seem to of gone missing in action! its part of the duty manager check, so they are supposed to grit the car park, the backup plan is that the store manually grit the car park but some stores may not of ordered the grit.

Worth a complaint to the Duty Manager, or better still every store has a txt number you can leave a comment, this goes to Head Office and the Store Manager! they have to take action on all negative points if its feasable.

The txt number is on the Every Comment Helps leaflet.

Its just a hint it may be coming to an end, and they said it won't go from the schedule so a reboot! fifth gear as poor as it is sometimes has reinvented and is still trying, im sure ths isn't the end just another fresh start.

Some of the programming as said above has been epic, other times its been poor.

Left the car at home, had some fun a few years back in it, nearly lost the car so didn't bother this time.

Its one of those sensordrive gear boxes, i know the snow mode has been updated but don't really trust it, maybe tomorrow.

Biking is superb! i went about 5 years ago, thats how i started MTB'ing again started out from Costa Teguise, through the dusty trails climbing then an immense descent loads of dust and dirt! There was a hire shop with Speshi Enduro's by the bay in CT, could pick up a map of routes and take it from there.

Plan to go back myself in the summer.

Well its very odd, the trains ran last year?? the eurotunnel trains ferrying the cars across thats ok? i know they have stopped taking cars due to the sheer backlog. So why has Eurostar's trains stopped?

I know its cold, and we don't usually have snow this time of year, but its all a little odd……

The hub is too far from the tele to check the ethernet connection and no cable long enough, just wait and see what the engineer sayes, but it does look like the plug has had it. TBF its lasted 2 years so could be worse.
