Why not take the train to cannock? hire out a bike from there and have a blast round the monkey! Train gets you to hednesford for about £5, then its about 2 mile walk to BV.

It seems the bigger the company the less likey they are to allow this scheme, i work for the biggest food retailer in this country, and no cycle scheme, we are not allowed to park on the car park and encouraged to be green, turn lights off, shut chilled back up doors, separate all different types of card and plastic etc.. but give me a bike to cycle to work, errrmmm nope sorry cant to that, bloody stupid!

Steel Hardtail at the moment, it just feels quicker than my full bouncer, can't figure out why, but my HT likes to skip down the trail and testing me to jump, while the full bouncer stays planted to trail and just feels slow when compared to my HT, also my lap times are 15 minutes slower on the FS.

Apple are amazing with customer service, my experience was the weekend, my iphone broke it got stuck in a reboot loop, wouldn't come out of it. So i popped to the apple store in Solihull i knew it was broke just wanted confirmation. Spoke to one of the guys who told me it was out of warranty by 5 months and that is was definatley broke. Told me to wait while he checked something, came back 5 mins later told me he had more bad news, he said he couldn't transfer all my apps and other stuff to a new phone, i thought what new phone, he pulled an new iphone out of the draw, registered it and popped my sim card in and handed it to me. I queried the new phone, all i got was don't worry all sorted now!

Work out all bills for month, pop it into an account just for bills, rest in another account to do as i please, food, biking stuff etc, seems to work for me. Always put an extra £50 in the bills account for any surprises, or bike bits, or just to save,

I ordered mine direct from oakley, much better response, mine are sunnies with prescript so not over fussed about the fit that you need with a clear lenses as you wear them all the day.

Oakleys CS is amazing, i had a big off and damaged the lenses, gave them a ring, sent mine off a week later replaced lenses, i paid a modest amount for the lenses but i expected that.

My prescription biking glasses are Oakley, i paid about £175 for them, imported from the states, superb glasses c-wire i think they are, got them a few years back, need to find a UK dealer to send mine off to as i have bashed them up a bit when i face planted last year, but all round superb glasses.

Laggan Wolftrax for me, only get up there once a year but love it! great trails and great cafe as well, a little basic but does the job, beans on chunky toast and a cuppa tea!

Cannock – new monkey trail is awesome and BV cafe isn't too bad, plus its local, only 40mins away in the car

Why would the FC stop you riding a section again?? if go up a fireroad then your there its not too far away from the cafe.

I rode the upper cliff 4 times this afternoon, no one stopped me.

Its a superb piece of trail, no complaints from me, the guys have done an outstanding piece of building and i understand clixbys are hanging around for some repair work. The ground at cannock is bone dry at the moment and the amount of bikers the opening weekend was immense.

As for the roads, i learnt over 30 years ago how to cross a road and im still alive now, so i think i can manage that!!

You can get a bike in the back of a C2, but the insurance won't be cheap!! just have to check which seats the C2 has as they have different types, mine has the adjustable back/forwards so they can be push down and forward to allow the bike in. Wheels off though!

I tend to use roof bars instead now as more practical.

Laggan is awesome, my favourite trail center when i go up north. Yes im from the midlands, but also i have visited Laggan 3 times in the last few years, i often stay at Ft.Bill and then drive up. The cafe is basic but worth the cash for some beans on toast etc..

The trails, the orange fun park is great fun, fast and fun, they do an uplift at some times of the year so worth a look. The Upper red is the better of the 2 trails, the newer lower is ok has some great views, worth a one circuit, the black looks superb but ive not been brave enough.

If your heading that way, do try the Nevis Red xc, its the only trail where ive feared for my life, its that good, again the view from the top is immense, and the northshore is challenging in places but well worth the money for the gondola up!

Just before the jumps at section 8, big sign post for monkey trail, was going to say you can't miss it but some did this morning and saw them heading backwards down 8 towards us!!

Superb piece of trail and nothing like FTD, its like a proper welsh trail, with all the good bits including the climb which is fun too!

Just park at MD up the road, on the left as if your heading to cannock town, its free and drops you right next to the old section 13

About half of the ftd trail is closed so it will be a short blast if you do go!!

Section 3, the new one with the bridge is closed and 9,10,11 if your coming a distance not really worth it!

Howabout a diesel C2, i have a petrol vtr, couple of bikes on the roof, boot is big enough for shopping and citroen have now replaced it with the DS3 so a few cheap deals can be done at your dealer, also the diesel one has the £35 tax band.

About 6 miles to work, busy junctions and main roads to and from, takes ages in the car some mornings.

    Im in birmingham.

Really use the orange, RS Revs, slx groupset, outside a supermarket? i have some faith in our security but not that much.

Very much doubt it would be a Tesco system, more likely a dodgy cashier, the systems are very robust, and actually maintained by a certain well know bank not by the store itself, hhhhmmmm i wonder which bank…..barclays by any chance!!

The mecca cola you can buy in tesco, not all of them, depends on the customer base. Ive just worked on a new store opening, its a heavy multicultural society so the store reflects this, big Halal Meat counter, parts of the store just ethnic products (as we call them) should call them world foods or something. Worth a look anyway!

Dropped mine down to 125mm works a treat, 140 was just far too much travel for me!
