Hhhhmmm Enterprise supply the courtesy car, need to weigh up what they have to say when they call, need a car probably twice in the next week due to shifts, rest of the time i could catch the bus.

Well called insurance, emailed them pic’s of my car, her car, picture of the junction etc.. Got the call back as they see it her fault, as i said!! Car will be picked up today by 2pm and a courtesy should be dropped off by 7. Waiting game for my day off.

Should i call her and tell her im going insurance or just let them sort it out. TBH i haven’t been in contact with her since the accident.

The other snag is, the car had major repairs about 2 months after i brought it, city council bin lorry reversed into it, all the back end had to be rebuilt, my mates concern was the damage to the previous repair.

Right will phone insurance now, take it from there.

There was a bit about it on the news, no poppies on the shirts but on the jackets as the team comes out for the line up, there will be a minutes silence and representatives from the Army/Navy/RAF etc before the game starts.

Will wait and see how this plans out during the week.

A good few years ago, BT fitted some new phone boxes on the high street, just the box as they where work in progress.

My sister asked my dad why there was no phones in the phone boxes, my dad replied so people can talk to themselves. She believed it, for quite a few years!

The biggest daft thing is when im at work normal question is, where’s the milk ? erm the section your standing in front of?!

My copy arrived yesterday, had a quick blast last night, first section you play as Catwoman if you have the downloadable unlock code, the game seems full of unlock codes, if you buy at tesco or game or asda, bit of a farce tbh!

You pay your money for the game you should be able to get everything thats on the disc!!

Apart from that its business as usual, controls seem the same as previous game so all good!

I did the jump a few years back, picked up a Powerbook G4 about 6 years ago, i boxed the Mac about 2 years back as the battery had died, the “Y” key has fallen off and it was starting to fall behind in the spec’s.

I went back to PC, 2 laptops later which have died i dug out the mac, yes i can’t currently connect my iPhone, but as a web surfer its great, and has out lived 2 PC’s, i wish i had not bothered getting the other laptops and invested in a new mac, but ive learnt the lesson, going to hold out with the dying mac and get a new mac mini to replace it with next year.

RedKite in Shirley, Solihull are pretty good, nice friendly service. Last time i was in there had a good selection of road bikes and as roadies themselves should offer good advice.

The front of the house is awful! why would u want that as your first view!!

The original cottage really nice from the outside with the glass attached to the side, but can’t get over the nasty steel frame at the front of the house.

    LMT

For me last time out it was the frame, i wanted a P7 just wanted to try a proper steel frame for a change.

Next bike its all about the travel and full bounce, looking for 120mm-130mm will prob settle for 125mm front and rear.

Nothing else im fussed about, as i change the kit as i wear it out.

Newer one’s have samsung screen’s and failure rate is alot less, i remember seeing every one come back at work, not seen one come back for the last 8 months and they still sell shedloads of them.

I would get one, as a second tele, rumor is we will get some 3d ones in time for christmas this year.

I paid into a pension for years from when i was 20ish till 27, worked for a supermarket chain that was sold to another, then the store i worked in sold to another company, pension frozen and tbh no one seems to know whats happened to it, lost somewhere between retailers. I left that job and started a new job in 2008 and started a pension again in 2009, current rate it will pay me a modest amount. Stuffed as ive never had a mortgage never owned my own house or flat, always rented, from 1st of march next year i will be debt free, so plan on paying 10% of my salary into a savings pot for my future, ethier buy some property later in life or use this to fund my retirement.

I serious doubt i will reach retirement age, anything can happen in the next 30 years!

The new twingo is a nice little car, looks alot like the old Citroen C2 model, same sort of shape, and when lined up at the lights same dimensions. I run a C2, bikes on the roof and i know its now discontinued but its a great little car.

Smart cars are expensive to service as said above.

Someone mentioned one-stop and budgen, well one-stop is owned by Tesco and Budgens the londis brand currently owns them,

As for cleaners in stores, most of it is contracted out now, eastern european workers mostly as us brits don’t want to clean floors and mop up spillages, as for the more staff for 24hr stores think again, after 10pm in most of these 24hr shops its now self serve checkouts only.

Everyone sayes that big supermarkets don’t give back to the community, ive worked in 2 brand new builds in the birmingham area, one store when built the company had to pay for the new road, pavements, highstreet road and repaved, a monument and a park. The other store i moved to included in the build was the store, carpark, 6 landscaped football pitches fenced in, plus state of the are changing rooms, again a new road junction. Im watching a new one go up and they have had to pay for flats to be built, plus the lease hold on a block of flats existing, the store, a small indoor market, office block, and a massive outdoor park to redone, plus a multi-million pound road. Stores pay about £10m for the build and then the councils take another £10m plus in extra’s, the community gets a good deal out of these builds,

Just completed Halo Reach, epic towards the end just picked up pace and was great!! Playing Dirt 3 which i love put in about 110 races so far and the gymkhana while impossible at first now ive managed to master some tricks.

Other than that, i have an eye on the new zelda game for the 3ds its tempting, very tempting but that would mean buying a 3ds.

Ive just booked a non-traditional week aboard, not in the summer but last week in november, a week in Lanzarote temp is around 25 degree’s, couple of bike shops handy for hire, and its a Thomson Gold hotel so no kids, just an adult environment and the beaches are close and nearby. Oh and £800 for me and mrs, so bargain.

Give him chance to email back, before the haters thread starts!!

I rode it on my 100mm full bouncer lol now at being daft at trying the route, but would love to go back up and do it again on a proper bike

I did the nevis loop when i was up there 72km round the base of ben nevis, awesome ride is all i can say starts at the car park in fort william, a very natural ride and you are out there all alone for about 75% of the ride so take plenty of food and supplies!!

Red Route is also amazing route, ive can’t think of any man made trail that comes close, but saying that if someone said a day at nevis or a day at laggan, i would take laggan every time.

I really like them, spotted one in white the other day, alloys, tow bar for a bike rack. Looks like the perfect upgrade from my current car.

Saying that i current drive a C2 vtr, and the lads at work take the pee as its an odd looking car, so the juke is just more grown up of what i have, a quirky car.

First trick is to get the line up right, its at an odd angle, well for me it is, once ive got the bike lined up, weight to the back and then glide through it. Its not as steep as it looks. Might be worth going on a quiet day and riding it a few times, after that will be second nature.

Saying that i used to ride it before they modified it, no issues i do tend to stall a bit now.

When we first opened the store i work in, we had a massive money laundering issue, they paid in cash, then wanted a refund for clean notes, then other occasions where they purchased something on a card then wanted a refund then we caught them paying with another card. Ended up police involved, handing over cctv footage so any odd requests like this would now be refused.

Nothing illegal, but the retailer is under no obligation to do it, tbh i would refuse based on the grounds it takes 1 week for the money to be debited back to your account and it sounds fishy!!

Unprofessional on one part, but its got you all talking about the video, so it did its job.

On another note, i quite like the look of the bike, short travel at the back, and nice amount up front, worth another look!

Polling station was empty bar 2 people working (is that the right word) in there, normally vote in the evening but got today off so thought would beat the queues, last time i had to wait over an hour to put and x in a box.

Internet voting or via txt would be a great option next time round.

General rumor and feedback from other riders is that half of afan man made routes are closed off or about to be closed off. Some people have to think is it actually worth the trip? for me nope, i live in birmingham and while 12 months ago would of took the trip to Afan now its just not worth it. Too many diversions and the while the cafe is a nice addition you can’t beat a good feed after a ride.

Feels like a level complete on Call of duty!! then the big sensationism that the US and the news do, he’s dead so on and so forth!!

I might be missing the point, but yes he masterminded so many terror attacks, well so we are lead to believe from american intelligence, not sure if intelligence is the right word.

Buried at sea? why not just jetison it into space and be done with it.

Who knows what backlash this will be, terror alerts will go up and airport security will be clamped down again.

My LL got rid of the EA about 2 years ago, for me it works really well, if i have a fault just send him a txt, normally 24hrs later its all sorted. In the past when it was just the EA it was a pain in the backside to get anything done, always took weeks!!

I often ride midweek, normally thursday, rarely see any other bikers on the trails at all, doesn’t matter if i go early or late.

If i can only fit a weekend ride like this week, it will be an early sunday, kick off at 7:30 then by the time im 3/4 way round is the first time i normally bump into other bikers. Been told its quiter towards the end of the day, but not been about to verify that yet.

I have a few watches, but day to day its a swatch watch i got while on hols in corfu about 6 years ago, its a proper one and does the job for work.

Biking and general days off i have a G-Shock the other half got me 2 years ago, great watch. For posh days out i have a DKNY nice proper watch, rarely gets worn these days.

My other half has a XTC EX, 2006 as well i know its an odd 30.8mm, struggled to get a replacement seat post for the bike. Its got an old style lx, but looks like the frame widens out towards the mech sitting position.

I had one of the early max’s in the mid 90’s great bike, was fast and such a great ride for a rigid. Price point was spot on, only shame was i brought it from halfords!!

No pictures unless anyone can find one, it was bright red, alivo groupset, gripshifters, alivio v-brakes. Best bike ive ever had.

Currently have the following on the go:

AC3 – Currently loving this, great visuals and gameplay
NFS:Shift 1 – yep i know the new one is out, but for £5 thought would give it a go
Lego Star Wars 3 – a game my OH will play as well.

Looking forward to Uncharted 3, and Batman AC and Gears of War 3 (xbox sorry!!)

Cannock is no different, not the Dog or Monkey but if you go off route, can be a bike killer. In one 2 hour ride can destroy a chain and cassette and brake pads no problem. Last trip out in the rain i wrecked a bottom bracket. Comes with the trails!!
