Big thing is the market where your house is, I have been looking for 4 weeks now every time we get to view a house due to being at work its difficult and we found the houses have sold.

Its very frustrating, currently have an offer on a house which is amazing for the money we have, the area is a bit crap as its 2 streets away from an industrial estate and has the back garden next to a main railway line (which is something I don’t mind) but we got the feeling it would be a nice house in a not nice area, or a complete disaster of a house in a nice area, we don’t have the money to put into repairs etc..so went for the nice house. Fingers crossed it all goes through now!

Currently going through the house buying process there was only a small list of needs, none of them mine all the OH:

She doesn’t drive so walking distance to her work and her mums house.
Parking for my car off road, which I don’t use as I walk to work.
    Bike storage
    Under £140k
    Spare bedroom
Clean and tidy bathroom and kitchen.

Doesn’t sound like much but took us 4 weeks and several times missing out on what we wanted.

Don’t mean to hijack the thread, gardens easy enough to fix?

Looking at the garden in my new house its a bit grim to say the least, it has a car parking double space at the top of the garden. Looks like the previous owner had it slabbed all the way to the house.

Was thinking of tearing them all up with exception to the base of the garden and put veg patch in and some grass up to the extension leave the rest slabbed for hosing down the bike etc..

Is it a big job? doable on my own? better to get someone in for a couple of days?

In the last few years I’ve had 3 canyons, my advice is get one that’s showing as in stock or fairly close otherwise you will wait and wait.

The 3 bikes I’ve had is first one for the oh, we couldn’t find a bike small enough with the right reach and spec, so we went for a nerve w8, its a great piece of kit the oh loves it. The bike is over 3 years old now but still looks great.

The second was a road bike which I have still have and no plans to change.

The third a hard tail 29er which I later sold as needed to downsize the amount of bikes, so I sold my speshi camber 26er and the canyon and got a new 29er camber, the only reason I didn’t get a 29er nerve was it was out of stock.

Another vote for Tudor grange Solihull, council sold it off to a private company they tore down the old leisure center and built a new one pretty much next to where the old one was.

Sparkhill old swimming baths had loads of character and a good pool but the council closed it must be 10 years ago, building is still there but I dread to think what’s in there now.

A lot of them just dim, I’ve only ever seen the ds3 where they go off. Saying that lots of Audi drivers my way!!

Mine are a bit odd, as when I use the side lights or full beam the DLR’s switch themselves off, turn out they are too bright when both sets are on, pretty sure other car’s don’t do that.

Another vote for camber,I couldn’t find last years Evo in small so got a new 2016 one awesome bike! What foxes are you running latham2014?? Was tempted to get some pikes if / when I kill off the revs but they seem bomb proof so far!

Off to look at richer sounds today, looking at size etc might go for a Sony sound base, seem to fit the bill. Compact tidy and have the inputs for all my tech.

If I use an optical lead from tv to whichever sound system, the ps4 etc will all work through it as well?

Need to measure the base of the tele might be bigger than a sound base.

Also spotted the Sony ht-gt1 it’s a bit out there’s but the right size for my to stand 80cm comes in at £149.

I did ride a 26er camber expert and had a 29er hardtail a canyon, when I went for the 29er camber I will admit I tried a stumpy first but far too much travel.

Had a blast at CYB not long after getting the new bike, one of my cycling mates is always quicker than me downhill as after a big crash I have a nervous edge, but the camber 29er I beat him and not just a second a good 10 seconds. If I’m completely honest I don’t notice the difference between the 26er camber and the 29er, I did go down a frame size but other than that it feels the same bike. Same travel, good wide bars, the clatter free sram mech is a bit odd as its silent but its the bike I would happily recommend.

I went for the 29er love it! Great bike, still quite playful as it’s based on last years evo version.

Working 12hr shifts – tues/wed/thurs 7-7, day off Friday back in Saturday as we can’t alarm so having to keep the site manned the joys! oh I forgot to add only paid for 7.5hrs a day, the line its expected its Christmas but don’t forget to have fun with your teams while fighting past customers with milk dollies and cages of turkeys to get them to the shelf.

Joys of being a retail dept manager!

Solihull is ok for road riding, I tend to go up to knowle, then head towards hockley via lapworth, earlswood lakes, red ditch, studley, back through Henley then Warwick then home. Not too hilly but some nice roads that way.

Haha very funny, the rose bike has promise can alter the spec, add some pikes and upgrade the brakes, not a bad choice.

Star Fox Adventures on the Gamecube I’m 85%, I’m stuck on the damn towers you have to take our 4 twice but your not in control of the flying it loops you round and round firing at you as you go round, I even got a turbo button pad but that’s not quick enough even for it. One day I will beat it, I do try at easter and Christmas I dig out the cube and try but fail every time.

I suggested the Trigger, but he had the Jekyll before and the triple can rear sus was a ball ache he likes to tinker with his own suspension repairs etc which is great but not something he wants this time round.

If you can get the base set from the uk, might just be a case of setting up notifications on Tesco direct/amazon/ play-asia etc..or this one from Germany will work:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-Dimensions-Starter-Pack-Wii-U-Neu-OVP-sofort-lieferbar-/252181041430?hash=item3ab7295116:g:5dUAAOSwsB9WCnra

As for the basic lego dimension sets any of them should work its just the original software, I have Amiibo from japan, austrailia and US all work fine on the Wii u.

I’m paying £600 in rent, all other bills and yep i have a pension quite a good one at that and shares which at present aren’t worth much due to the retail fall over but they were free so have left them be will leave them alone until the recover to some value. Like most I left home at 17 rented since then. I have some cash each month spare but spent it on weekends fun be it biking in Wales or new bike bits, watching the football etc.. recently didn’t think much of it until nor. I could cut stuff out and save but would be looking at 2 years before I get the money I need, just wondered if there was another way and really don’t want to spend anymore money on renting deposits etc…

I have the same problem, 3rd floor flat kids playing football banging off the door etc, we left our bin bag outside the flat door as I was on nights trying to sleep, one of the kids fell and hurt himself must of been a beer bottle, neighbour complained my reply was he shouldn’t be playing out in the hallway. Neighbour downstairs complained to the council, had them round asking questions, said neighbour asked if we had complained I told him wtf I work shifts, so bar the odd time I’m in it rarely effects me but can be pain in the backside, it’s a bit tense last few months but still on speaking terms. Slowly the football has restated but does go quiet at 8pm, the other Saturday came home from work to find duvets pillows all out in the hallway kids playing where the rubbish bags are, the other neighbours dogs piss all over the carpets. Looking for a house in the next few months…

Too late to the party, most know my biking from previous threads, but last year I had a Canyon Grand Canyon Hardtail 29er and loved it, also had a camber expert 26er, eventually I sold both and got a new 29er Camber, this years model is based on last years evo and its immense best bike ive had in a while. Yes its £2k and the kit is a bit basic but its so sorted on the trails.

Would explain why this years camber has rev’s, I had reba’s 100mm travel on my last bike and the Rev’s on my new camber are super responsive and tbh a great fork and yep in 29er version.

I had the 2014 AL 6.9 bike, Reba’s up front, crossone wheel set, combination of slx/xt chainset, was a great bike. Once I got the wheels rolling it was quick and playful and my go to bike.

Only reason I sold it was I wanted to get another 29er and a full sus so sold it to get the one bike.

I know I only had the basic one, but I would have another without thinking about it, great bike.

I’ve just got mine, well 2 weeks ago a speshi camber 29er, I will admit I wanted the carbon version but budget wouldn’t stretch that far for that movel but loving the new camber.

Moved from a 29er Hardtail and a 26er Camber to a hybrid of the 2, 29er 120mm travel evo geometry from last years camber 29er, its a great bike.

Second hand market is terrible, I only got the bare minimal for my Camber when I eventually sold it, wanted to keep it but someone said no bike had to go, hoping the buyer for my other bike doesn’t show up as my new bike is home now!

I did for years just have them for my internet, people get confused when you tell them you don’t have a phone line.

Running the 100mb at the moment, have the xbox/ps directly plugged into the router to get the full 100mb as wifi I only get 45-50mb speed when I called to complain turns out they will only guarantee up to a 50mb connection wifi from there equipment which is bonkers in this day of connect everything wirelessly.

Quite a few round by me, the one in grey looks great, white not so much. There’s a guy well guessing it is who has 2 on his drive a new one and one of the first batch, they look like great little cars.

Wonder if you could fit a tow bar….

I used to know loads, but the fc have pretty much destroyed them, blue spot and the fast flowing one through the woods, there was the one with the bridges etc…think a rider fell off had to get ambulanced out with a back injury that killed that one off, I can still see 3 cheeky trails over the monkey side. Need to explore..

If it helps, I have 2 in the under stairs cupboard, 1 in the hallway, 1 in the spare bedroom and 1 in the main bedroom, not allowed any in the living room but that might change tomorrow :)

To be honest as my other thread showed it was an impulse buy, I normally go to the bike shop to sit on it try it and normally walk out the shop with a bike, or I buy canyon. Tbh the LBS have emailed me so I am confident they are on it, just wondered what the lead time was they didn’t seem sure, Specialized do have the bike in stock so that’s a start.

Just checked the spec up the range, all the headsets and bottom brackets are the same from the comp up to the expert, although they only do 2 650b versions, mind is thinking should I of gone for the 29er?
