I’ve not got the endurance but have got a roadlite before it went urban, and I love it, it looks much more expensive than it is and rides perfectly, ive had it 3 years now and haven’t thought about changing it.

I ride a fair bit and apart from new brake pads a few times it hasn’t needed anything else. I binned the saddle and fitted a speshi one, but the sizing of the bike was spot on once I flipped the stem, the calculator came up with a 50cm XS which surprised me but I ordered and I can’t fault it, I tend to ride 40-50miles once a week and have done a couple of 100mile charity rides.

When I come to change it, I will probably go for the endurance as my next one, but that won’t be for another year or 2.

Went to the dentist, had an X-ray and he froze the tooth turns out it’s dead no sensation, and no infection in the tooth so next battle try and get a doctors appointment, possibly walk in centre.

More the fact it’s a sinus issue as well and I currently have medication for this, but last week it’s massively got worse I’m not fussed about paying for the dentist just want the root cause sorted :)

I had this when I moved address, co-op refused to insure me, 11 years no claims, no accidents in 20 years of driving, point blanked cancelled my insurance because I had moved house. Ended up after a few tweets and complaints they paid me my entire premium back of £349 for the previous year as an apology but still no insurance.

All my quotes came in at £3500, I drive a Citroen ds3, finally found esure who charged me £950, thought bugger I need insurance, admitadley I forgot my tow bar so called them the following day, got a reduction of £400 just for having a towbar. Turns out I’m in the top 10 whiplash claims postcode but as I have a towbar I’m less likely for a fraud impact as it causes more damage.

Insurance is a big scam, what the co-op did was appalling.

Just called a local guy, as I live quite close to an industrial estate, turns out he was on lunch at the cafe bottom of my road, popped in £300 for the glass they can do it within the week, quite surprised!

Turns out they have the biggest glass manufacturing plant this side of Birmingham as I’m local they can churn it out within 24hrs plus can give me a quote when we are ready for the full replacement.

Yep there’s water in the middle of the glass, tbh they look quite old hence why we wanted to change the windows, if its not urgent then I can save some pennies for a year and then get them done.

I loved viewing houses, but we struggled to find what we wanted, and houses coming up where we wanted to live were hard to find, in the end we had to live without a couple of things, parking being one, but that’s an issue for another thread!

If we hadn’t of took this house we would of ended up with a flat, I did things a bit odd, we could of had a mortgage of £200k but I refused to borrow that sort of money so we got a house at £128k it was trying to work within the budget and proximity to the OH work as she walks to work.

We viewed using Purple Bricks they tend to allow viewings anytime as he seller set these up, we viewed our current house at 8am, 8pm and dinner time before we finally decided, not on the same day lol!

He was the gas fitter who fitted it, they moved to Ireland we have tried contact over another issue but as yet unable to contact get a reply. That’s through our solicitors tbh wouldn’t want him messing with it, we do have the certificate and guarentee for the boiler, might try ringing the company on that.

Ours doesn’t look as neat as that at all, it’s got grey flashing tape going all over the place.

Lol always the way, tbh it was the fact that canyon was out of stock when I decided to get the new bike but I was looking when the new models where just being released by canyon.

I’ve got this years camber and tbh love it! I went for the 29er comp, I’m on the lighter side at 10st but I love the connection to the trails it climbs well and just a great bike.

The only thing I don’t like and it’s a small gripe is the paintwork it scratches far too easy for a bike, I almost went for the stumpy but I don’t need the additional travel, the 120mm is more than enough for me.

Extragear was pretty good, they should swap the presenters around, much improved! They had the nomad doing a lap of the track.

Only thing I can think of is have you updated the controllers software? There’s a menu somewhere hidden away for controllers.

Thanks lots of tips, no bed until Saturday was planning on sleeping at the current rented flat until we get fully in. The plan was to move gradually but someone is too excited so we are moving all in one go, new bed, new sofa, new washing machine and fridge all to be delivered over the week.

Looking forward to getting in there now and moving, managed to bag me a bike room just for the bikes, my bike kit, tools, bike stand loads better than hiding them in the gas cupboard.

    Cheers all!

We have thrown a ton of stuff out already, waiting for the council to put those letters through the door asking who filled the bins with old bookcases or old clothes etc….

We know we have a bits to pack, having the flat a while longer means we can at least go to and from over the next couple of weeks if needed.

The cactus in the right colour looks ok, my neighbour has one in black with red trim and the bumps are black looks pretty mean looking, he has changed the wheels.

I also own a DS3 and think its quirky, although hate the new one with the new lights and no citroen branding.

I hate the Fiat 500xl its been hit with a big ugly stick.

I’m 38, got 27k in one pot that is locked and will grow in time, company pension restarts in November hence the locked pot, predicted income is £12k a year when I retire, not great but could be worse!

Yep signed up for BC as a couple of extra’s on there could be handy for when I commute, will still wait for a sale, even if is the summer bank holiday it will be worth the wait.

Was going to add I’m lucky as have 3 Halfords locally and they all have the new boardmans built up, but saying that I don’t have any proper bike shops except one which is always busy busy.

Look at the games out now and pick the one you will buy he games for, both handhelds are coming to the end of there life, the vita never really took off but has some great games and if you have a ps4 its the most expensive controller ever! I got a new slim one at Christmas in orange its very nice but I have ps plus with lots of free indie games.

The 3ds again is at the end as Nintendo will and should announce the NX this E3 which rumour has it its a main base unit for the home and a portable which will replace the 3ds but will be the controller for the NX.

Both have great games out just see what you fancy, JRPGS can be had for both.

Another craiguart vote, stayed there 4 times last year and have booked twice this year, can be a bit noisy with the floorboards above if you want an early night but great breakfast, handy for a walk into Peebles for a beer in the evening and right on the doorstep to the trails, alasdair and Pauline are both really friendly!

The bike’s main duties will be cycle to work, and odd cycling trips with the OH now she has pinched my Planet X hybrid for those casual bike rides out and about. I wasn’t going to get a new bike as the Planet X bike was my first cycle to work bike but after I changed location it was quicker to walk, but now moving a few miles away the OH has decided she wants it, its a pity its a nice carbon framed flat barred bike, great for a quick blast.

Popped into Halfords this morning, took a liking to the new boardmans, both the hybrid and cx bike run 1×11 gearing and look great was thinking of signing up to british cycling £31 direct debit and then when Halfords have a bank holiday sale which they always do, grab one then with the 10% off.

No I’m not using tredz, its more the links for bikes, as normally someone posts which bike, the first response is links, so jumped the gun, also looked at the Giant Rapid 0, I had a rapid 4 a few years back, that was a great bike.

First ride out on my new camber, the new paint work on this years bikes are terrible, after a first clean they scratch, loads of surface scratches all over the bike. A mate has the new stumpy and that’s the same, could be worse though.

First day off in 3 weeks, so knackered, no biking. Plus for a change no chasing solicitors or mortgage brokers or looking at houses, spent the day windows open, FA cup on the tele while I start to pack ready for the move.

There are some family I wouldn’t want it to go to, guess I should fill the form in. I do joke with the OH that Cannock chase would get the funds and the local dogs trust, she thinks I’m joking!!

Yep it states on the mortgage that as joint tenant we have a 50/50 share of the house and if one survives the other it automatically moves to the other partner, its stated in the solicitors documents.

Things must be a bit more causal in Birmingham, I called the estate agent, told them my offer l, informed them I had a pre-arranged mortgage that was it, offer processed and accepted I had 24hrs to produce id, proof of deposit and mortgage pre-approved email that’s it.

I changed mortgage after the offer as the one I had was terrible but i haven’t told the agent, valuation done and next week my surveyor goes in. All done over the phone.

Yep no choice with a broker, no previous loans, as per my other thread a while back I earn and spend it but never any debt. The car doesn’t count, the banks wanted £1k to set up a mortgage while the broker came in at £499.

The bank suggested taking out a loan, but then I couldn’t use that money to pay for the house stuff, so its was rock hard place situation. My broker has got me a good mortgage deal well as far as I can tell, and a confirmed that if it doesn’t go through we get a refund or he will find another deal without costing me anything, and a £1k cash back once its all gone through. Hopefully win/win its just the life insurance that’s a bit over the top and never having to do this before wanted to check.

I did call him back last night and explained my doubts he has since emailed me a better quote and taken the loss of earnings out, so hopefully sorted.

Sick pay 6 months, all my savings are going into the house purchase but will start to build up again once I’ve got through this, although if this fails I won’t have enough to buy another house for at least 6 months.
