It was me. 11th overall. Down from a high of 6th. Only made 3 changes all season, and those due to injury.

The new longer top tubes will be available as the xr models of a few already existent bikes. The standard ones will still be sold also.

I have a dune. Really happy with it. Just came back from the mega….faultless. when new I did need to pop a volume reducer in the shock and retune the stock tune to suit me better.

In hindsight, I think I should have (and will do come new bike time) gone with a foxy and ran it with 160 forks. Would be better up and along but still super capable down.

Oh, and go with a RR model. My basic QR rear end is a little flexy when railing berms. So much so I get some tyre rub from a 2.35 Hans dampf. Even with a 10mm axle conversion.

They really are great rides. Don’t be put off by large rear sag settings. My dune climbs very very well, for a 160.

There were plans for one in derby, years of plans. Whatever happened to those? Still happening?

My lady crashed her bike into a landy recently resulting in 2 black eyes. A few days later in Sainsburys a concerned till lady asked a question……

    Her “oh, dear, what happened”

Me “i had to tell her twice”

Que deathly silence over what seemed like the entire store, save for a few awkward sniggers from a lad across the way.

I’m not sure what I said it, it was out like a flash before I could stop it!

Mondraker dune or foxy with 160 up front. Wasn’t 100% convinced till I took it my dune to the mega…..superb. everything from xc – jumps – full DH.

    So good.

Think I’d consider a foxy with 160s in the future though, to make the most of the flats where I’m staying right now.

Main race, a little higher up, in the woods over the roots. Left side on a tree, near the big rock at the end of a berm.

    That was us..

The cock thing was to lighten things up a bit. By the you got there I know you were super tired. I definitely was anyway. You should have seen some of the reaction it got…..lots of smiles.

While we were there, banging pans and cheering everyone on, we discussed how many go pros this would show up on and be found later….guess it worked!

    If in doubt, go faster.

Works in a surprising amount of situations.

You may be better looking than, you may be smarter than me, you may be more talented than me, but if we get on a treadmill together either you’re getting off first or I’m gonna die.

    0% on a yt?

    Thought they were direct sales?

So to keep them focussed between 1st and 2nd if required. Far better, generally, than stopping and requesting another.

I did this a couple years ago. In the JD here. Pushed wide by a car racing the corner and as soon as it went to 2 wheels it was all over, lucky not to topple the JD too.

    That’s one of them!

I actually meant that I’ve seen the real life event, as though the sign came to life, an ex properly supermaned over the bars!

Apparently it was ‘not funny’. I thought differently.

I always just rock up in adh. However, my friends seemed to know beforehand so it must come out somewhere I guess.

    I’m the opposite.

Have the trc feature but never use it. Simply because it runs high in the travel and is so well damped that I,ve simply no need for it.

In the whole I think the reviews find this also.

    If available, I’d go without.

Running a medium dune. With a, shorter than stock, 50mm stem and 711 bars.

Feels great and I’m 5’9″ too. Could always keep the 70mm stem for the difference.

I really like it but occasionally feel I should have looked into a foxy with 160mm forks a little more.

    Hi, no front mech.

I had the shock out, and airless, and cycled it through the travel. No contact or play anywhere

    Thanks though.

I think the title is now.confusing and off topic…….may start another post!

So, complete clean and rebuild done. Stripped the entire bike back to a bare frame.
All bearings, pivot bolts, bushings/spacers and what not completely checked and in perfect order. Zero play from any point in the system.

Thought I was onto a winner.

Still have z clunk. Not when I compress the travel fully with wheels on the ground but when the rear wheel contacts the ground post bunny hop, endo or jump. Can also be heard when dropping the rear from a height.

I say heard because it all feels normal, ie….no clunk felt. Only heard.

The only thing to have changed is that the shock just came back from mojo after a retune. Well, a re retune as it was not working the 1st time I got it back.

Could it be my fox float r pro pedal internals?

Bushings after 5 months!? Surely not.
There is also zero excess detectable play anywhere. Hence the strip and clean as I’m out of ideas as to a location!

Thanks for the grease info though.

Well, whatever it is i’m hoping that it wont be ther tomorrow post service.

So, Lithium Grease is what i need?

    Anyone disagree….

No copper grease? Even on pedal threads or crank axle joints?

Dual ply on stans……..no issues here last year in France…..even when I forgot about pressures and was running around 20psi or less!

    Or,

I’ve got some Hans dampf I’ll be taking out for the mega.

Trouble is I can’t help feeling that I NEED dual plys.

    So, I’m taking a dual minion front 2.35 42a and a 2.35 60a dual Larsen tt.

All the above will be set up tubeless.

The Larsen should solve the resistance issue. I’ve another Larsen if you need? They don’t make them anymore in the dual.

Sunnies here too. Arnette with an orange lens. A touch dark in the woods but defo better than goggles in my opinion. Way too hot (hopefully) for them.

Knowing the company and having a couple questions is good advice.

Also, prepare some examples of previous tasks/situations that best highlight some common questions…..team work, communication, deadlines etc. That way they can be pulled into use easily in a number of situations. Make sure any weakness has been reflected on and turned into.a strength.

Had one last week and these simple tips got me the job…..interview feedback highlighted these points exactly.

Also, be smiley, happy and confident.

Loco sorted me out a few weeks ago for the large can on my dune. Still didnt feel it did enough though so mojo have it now for a retune. I’m only 70kgs too!
