Just got back from two weeks staying in Boat of Garten so did a few of these. The Ryvoan route is great and very straight forward nice views as you drop into Glenmore and the final descent towards the Kincurdine rd on the speyside way is a great setting. The Burma rd route is technically straightforward with a fast long and wide descent. The long track back to carrbridge is really nice though I can recommend coming back over via general wades military road, note there is a small ford which last week you could peddle however in spate means a knee deep paddle possibly more. Have fun I didn’t see another sole on either of these routes! Can also vouch for cake in carrbridge and the mountain cafe in aviemore which really is something else. Oh and bothy bikes have moved to the dalfaber ind. Estate also in aviemore top folks so if you’d up need any advice or kit they are great.

we got round the black also, a tree was coming out the ground before our eyes bit scary! Can I also second the litter issue especially the twunts who drink red bull. Is it compulsory to lob your empty can on the floor after you have finished? I say this as it seems the same folk are repeating this practice at motorway junctions around Cheshire!!! Just to give a balanced rant can the git who dumped his tropicana orange on the red also go and pick their bottle up also please

I think most folk end up in Mambos or Cairngorm hotel or thye used to before I had kids!

It can be wild and it can be beautiful be prepared for both extremes and you will be ok.

Oil level in top of leg! Had the same problem it leaks out the top of the forks in transit (or when upturned) as seal on top of leg is not great. Checkout service vids on youtube. The damper needs the right level of oil to operate. CYou need two different wieght oils also. 15 and 5 wt

I started with seal kit till I worked out this was the problem, I wonder how many other have also?

Our whole estate has heating systems destroyed by plastic pipes that have pulled air in and speeded up oxidisation process, destroys pump, radiators etc. I dont know if these are only no good for central healting and ok for plumbing but thats what happened anyway.

good wool socks as warm when wet and a pair of the better winter boots (I use shimano) as about as good as your going to get I think, as folk have said gaiters may help some?

You will likely get up and going more quickly on skis than boarding, however as others have said it takes longer to get to intermediate level and competance off piste will likely take a long time. Plus point with skis is that getting round the mountain is so much easier than with a board, you can cover flat ground much more easily, which is a killer when you first start boarding.

Now for boarding, as others have said the feeling of being off piste in deep powder snow, in the trees or on steep open slopes has on occasions for me been almost a spiritual experience :0)

So try both they are both great in there own ways and for different conditions.

Hi Mate, I have just got one of the front lights, for the money its amazing, the new battery pack that comes with this revised model appears well sealed. There is no charging advice however if left on charge once the light goes both red and green it appears to be fully charged (about 4-5 hours. I did swap the lamp clamp to a lumicycle one I had, but I know others use the bands they come with and are happy.

His diet sounds very healthy probably similar to what my two ate, however it may be a potent windy cocktail you are giving him, could it be the vegetables and fruit are making him windy and bit burpy? Could be lost of acidic fruit is making him reflux? Try some baby rice/rice or pasta to fill him up rather than the vegetables? Ours ate spag bol and chilli con carni pureed loved it! easy on spicy stuff though eh!

On teh coughing note mine both went through phases of this, seems to pass, was related to frequently snotty noses dripping into throat. It like most things has stopped.

    Good luck!

Just had same problem, got my seals from tf tuned, but expensive, oil from CRC as you need 15wt and 5 wt. Just search on you tube for sram service videos for revelations, its dead easy if you have right tools. The vids tell you what you need. Had my lap top in the garage worked a treat.

Make sure you have something accurate to measure the oil back in as my measuring jug was a million miles away from a medical syringe I ended up using.

    Hi Fella

I have replaced the full motion controls seal kit, when you say there is an o ring ‘in’ the rebound damper is it actually inside the rebound damper? I know there are two on the outside which I have replaced.

    Thanks
