Jazid wood screws have a slightly more corse thread than a self tapper plus they are made of a harder material, as for the washer they will be ok.

Stayhigh have a look at the CK picture on page 11 and you will see he has used counter sunk screw heads, they just hold the LEDs without going over the board too much. Look for 3mm fiber washers on eBay you can get some for a few quid, failing that some mentioned making washers from oven read meal packs as they can take some heat also maplin do shake proof 3mm screws that have o rings fitted. Well bh I can now see the copper that’s under the black covering, and was just checking the circuit found the middle screw had earthed one of the LEDs. Removed screw and could see a small scratch will have to find fiber washer of some sorts.

Sandwich I’ve tried that and had problems, it was something to do with Version 10.5 and Version 10.6 clashing?

TBH I can’t remember it was nearly 10 years ago, they send you out a folder and corse notes you read them, I think you have access to a tutor, and basically have your test for that module if you pass it you get your next module. Just found it hard going.

Try plugging in your ethernet cable and try setting it up. I had the same problem last week and it had been setup on my network, for a printer, for a few years with no issues up until I reset the wireless router. Took me over four hours to get it going think it was trying to link up to other networks in the area.

Was going to glue it on, haven’t noticed any holes to use a nut & bolt. Thermal tape may come lose if it’s bouncing round?

Trout what did you use to insulate the heat sink from the terminals on the driver, as it must get hot and don’t want to use something that might go on fire or melt.
