We washed ours in bicarbonate of soda as advice from the nurse, not sure if it helped but they went away in a few weeks, I wouldn’t worry too much.

Took my 4 yr old out last Saturday, just me and her. She’s not sat on the bike before Christmas I only suggested shall we go to dobbies and buy a shrimp for the fish tank. Took two hours to go about 2 miles but that’s the furthest she has been. So I wouldn’t worry too much just suggest going to the shops or park etc.

I got some ages ago due to having a carbon hardtail, it’s ment to stop you tightening the clamp too tight but for the life of me can’t remember where I bought it from. Looks like they have pointed you in the right direction.
