Ive been selling P7 flashlights for years, and if you want to stop it flickering/changing modes itself, put a post-it inside the barrel (perfect fit) and also make sure the tail cap and pill/led are tight, if you’re still having problems, then you can get little magnet spacers that’ll make the battery longer.
Quite a few off my customers have been using five mode lights for years, on road & off-road bikes without any problems, just make sure everything is tight and clean.

DX doesn’t have stock, and they have to get just about everything from the supplier.
DX (and suppliers) had a few days off last week, so that would add to the delay.
Refunds can take a couple off weeks.

It usually take 2-4 weeks to get orders.

Not worth it, and it could bring your package to the attention on customs.
It usually takes around a week for me to get a package with normal shipping, and usually its 2-4weeks to get your stuff from the date you ordered.

If the pain is in front of the knee, your saddle is too low, and if its behind, the saddle is too high.

Maybe you're pushing too big a gear?

Having said that though, its not usually a sharp pain, maybe have a look at your cleats too.

Also, make sure your feet are pointing the correct way! as in, toe in or toe out.

I got their project bike, so got just about everything for less than half the price of the basic model and just needed to add/upgrade the chainset/bars/brakes, so around £300 ready to go!
But, it did need to get a full respray, as this is what it looked like before, and the rack/side bars were a different colour.

Ive got a Mundo and ive towed a race bike behind it before.
I got mine here and i got a great deal on the version 1, i believe the latest V2/3 have even more room for really fat tyres, im running Fat Frank 2.35 and ive got a good few mm either side of the chainstays.
Just speak to Rob, and he'll sort you out.

Mine is now set up for touring –

Cree make the LED's and sell them to Seoul who do their own thing with them, and the MCE is now Cree's copy of the P7.

Thanks for the answers guys.
Unfortunately, i am old enough to have passed my test well before 1997!

My mate is French, so ive decided that he is coming back through France with me, just so he's there to talk to the police if there is a problem, and i'll drop him off when im at the ferry port.

I sell them over here, the flashlights that is.
Ive got 4 in stock with everything you need.
It'll cost more than DX, but you get full warranty from me if you have any problems, and the light is tested and checked over before you get it.

PM me if interested.

To anyone else ordering from DX just now, dont forget its Chinese New Year and DX wont be back to work till the 20th, so stop getting annoyed if they dont reply to you!

My advice, would be to contact trout and see if he can fix it, because you'll be without a light for about 8-10weeks if you send it back now (Chinese new year is 3weeks away).
It took them 9 weeks to get replacement P7's to my door(didnt want another bike light).

You could always still contact them and see if they'll give you some money/store credit towards the cost of repair – CSE Replacement/Defective item.

rob, it might be worth your while ordering a couple of TrustFire batterys, as UltraFire are not that great and as they state on the product page, they over estimate their capacity by quite a bit.
They'll still work fine, but the runtime may only be around 45min, whereas i recommend that people change the TF ones around the 60-80min mark.

I only use/sell unprotected batterys with flash lights, as the last thing you want is the protection kicking in when you're hammering down hill!
Ive sold over 100 flash lights and gone through over 400 batterys and never had any blowing up or catching fire.
The only thing you need to remember to do, is as Turbo said, change the battery before the light sucks it dry, but usually the light will be quite dim before then anyway.

Just out of curiosity, which "green" batterys did you get? As i only buy the blue TrustFire ones.

lightman

NO! Dont get protected batterys for it.
The last thing you want is the protection circuit kicking in when you're flying down hill.

Get non-protected and you'll be fine, just change them when the light output starts to get low, usually around an hour.

Ive got TV,BB and phone, and im happy.
Maybe get a problem once a year if that, and it always gets sorted quite quickly.
Got BB upgraded from 2mb too 10mb this year for free, and i get a discount off about 1/3 from the full price.

the fork isn't on backwards, the stem is facing the wrong way. I guess its the same, but I don't see how a fork can be on wrong. Just the stem."

If you like a challenge and dont mind to much about a little extra weight, then give Rob a call, and he could set you up with a Yuba Mundo for around £250 delivered, i got their project bike for £220, which included front Julie brake, front disc wheel and mud guards.
Its getting painted at the moment, so should be a nice metallic blue when its finished.
I got it for it price and the fact i shouldn't have any problems with rack bolts/wheels etc… breaking when touring, as im planning on doing on/off-road tours.
This is the look im going for when its done, but dark blue and without the side bars.

Cant link to the one i bought, here's the link to the Flickr page.
I got it without the saddle, bars and got black tyres.

Yeah, i thought about that, but its only slightly (3-4lbs) heavier than my old, extra heavy training bike.
Plus, i quite fancy being able to be self-sufficient for 3 or 4 days.
