I have used the x01/xx1 version and they work really well. Just for the price though the clutch wear is not acceptable. Basically very little tension left on both my late 2020 AXS mechs. I keep going back to my XTR 1×11 that came with my capra CF. That paired with E13s 9-46. A solid summer setup with no fuss.

I am still running the neo with the SKF a year later. Great in Scots weather but spins much slower than the 70 series. Stays clean but I do notice the drag.

I have gone down to one after having a trail and enduro bike. Got the ripmo built up and tested it yesterday. What a capable bike.

I like the mavic deemax pro. Was 170gbp 2 years ago now under 80. Kevlar weave upper which last ages. Also the sole grips about the same as five 10s stealth. Just feels like a better shoe all round. Best shoe I have tried on Burgtec pedals.

Loulabelles is way better a cafe. Better cake & food in general. Don’t really drink coffee so couldn’t compare on that.

    Their plated chicken shawarma! Mmmmmmm

That poor 1300s settlement. They moved all the wall stones and now we will never make sense of it. We lost some coal fragments and a sword chape. Damn shame.

What happened to it? I had a large c2 (6ft felt ok with 40mm stem) for 8 months tweed valley. Maybe not long enough to see problems. The thief that stole it maybe having issues.

one of the fastest bikes around tbh.

I just got a ripmo AF frame to build up, has a Jade x which I loved on my steel FS. Coming from a Rune V3/Full Moxie. Looks like a fun bike.

I see a lot of people practicing the ones down Janet’s Brae after Daves trail. Maybe worth a session.

Related to the first Count of Peebles. Vache. When I first went to Peebles in 2018 I knew nothing of my family history. I did have the strange feeling it was home. I knew there was a scots connection but basically been deployed for 18 years so really had no time to research the matter. So I moved back.

After Peebles seems they were in Nether Horsburgh until the 1900s, Then Dalkeith. After the second world war my grandfather moved to the USA.

Glad to be back in the borders and consider myself a Borderer. My Oak Ridge TN accent throws people off.

    Smells like a pizzeria.

    Last ride, cya.

Riding the local back to back comparing the moxie fs to my torrent. The torrent rips but damn my ankles on the jumps.

Flats safer for me on my FS
Clipless safer on my ‘enduro’ hardtail.

High speed lol. I ended up on the top of Woodhill and looking back past the Nebit.

me too. its a toss up what bike I take now.

I have some nice FS bikes but really for open hills, even rocky and however steep I am finding the HT hard to beat. After going to clips you can WOT and its a blast.

Ochils. Ben Cleuch. A nice lap. Great on a HT with clips.

    Nice pictures in this thread!

My frames are quite a bit longer than the tallboys 1187mm. Slider is not flush. I need to throw in a bike in it and get some pics.

The sliding rear wheel plate with the strap rests fully on the aluminium channel. The wheel is always on the locking strap plastic plate. Never off it to the rear or resting on the end cap.
I can muscle in my XL norco torrent and its maxed out with 1277 wb. So the rear wheel plate is then flush with the end cap. Like in the picture above. Would not go any longer than that. Not ideal but never ever came loose, even with hard pulls on a turbo hatch.

1250mm Moxie FS 29er just fine. The slider is about half inch from the end cap.

Yeah 29er. I got the rack still. Used a few times. Also the Tlock kit. Use a bikestow van rack now.

I had a highroad with a Privateer 161 P3. It just fit. The sliding rear wheel mount was close to the end stop. Also my full moxie 1250mm WB. High speed on road use with I30n through borders twisties no issues.

I have used Rimpacts since they first came out. The damped feeling is there and there is no question they protect the rim. All my enduro/am bikes have had them. Recently though I removed a pair from my Rune V3 and put my pressures back up to 23F/27R as opposed to 22F/24R with the Rimpacts. I just found I have been riding better with the higher pressures and no insert. There was plenty of sidewall support with 2.5″ tyres down to 22psi on the rear but it just felt off.

I am tempted to go cushcore but with heavy enduro casings I think I will hold off for a while until I actually have a puncture.

Stay at home order. Local laps only so far but April 2nd I guess stay at home is lifted.

Yeah April 26th will make the 10 mile Journey to Yair!

    lightfighter762

Im 90kg and dent around 20 psi. For Scotland my limit is 22/25 in the wet and summer, say Ballater will go up to 23/27. No insert.

That ranger looks quick but the black and red bike. Sick.

Yair is fun. Ahhh April 26th :P
